Both. Ford Customer Relations tended to "push things along". I can't fault FCR, they were brilliant. Havent got my Mondeo yet, end of next week should be ready. I've had 2 Mondeo courtesy cars, which made my mind up to go Mondeo. Both cars I've been impressed with. First one was a manual gearbox, second a power shift auto. Mine will be the latter, as was my Edge. I'll post up my first impressions with pics. I'm expecting a firmer ride with sports suspension, and lower ride height.2 points

I do the same. If you rip with windows media player, it gets the info from an internet database that isn't complete. I rip them, them open the album directory in mp3tag and add the missing info (only takes a minute) ... I've got 2 x 32GB usb sticks in my car with everything in my music collection on them. Adding the tag info also helps if you add the ripped album to your ITunes library too (if you use an iPhone or iPod).2 points

Hey All, Just wondering should I check my engine coolant level when its hot or cold? I was just driving around and decided to check the level and saw that its on the "MIN" mark. Should I top it up or shall I wait until the engine is cool then check the level again? Thanks1 point

As a matter of fact.... One of our cars (Mine in fact) is a lovely glacier white S3 saloon. I say it looks lovely, but thats it. The car has several rattles and 2 loose bits of internal trim. Misaligned drivers door, replaced haldex pump. After 8 months of ownership 3 rattles and a stubborn trim piece are still present. Sure the dealership was helpful to start but they eventually soon get fed up and play hardball (As do Audi CS). My only option is to keep a check on when I can sensibly get shot of it. (Most if not all of these issues are hardly restricted to my car alone) I did look at the A4 but that's currently going through the early model stage with gearbox, engine, trim and build quality issues. Sure they don't affect every car, but then neither does anything you read on this forum. You pays your money and take your chances. It's just that the disappointment costs a little more if you go German1 point

A tip is to remove the track title so the system will then reorder the files in track number order instead of alphabetically. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk1 point

I do like the beautiful sunny weather we are getting here in North East Scotland!! Took the Volvo out for a drive which actually has functioning air conditioning (one of the few things that do work) and am now back home enjoying a chilled cider with some good tunes on the radio.1 point

That was the 90s though, when you could still get a good service at a reasonable price.1 point

Not to mention ships!! (MARPOL Annex 6 if anyone is interested) Technically a lot of ships already run on electricity - it's just generated by chuff-off big diesel engines Don't get me started on wind powered ships...Rule 12 (IRPCS) is a pain in the ar...mpit As for the original question about swapping diesel for petrol - sell the car and buy a petrol. Swapping the engine, whilst possible, is going to be far more difficult and expensive. You'd need to change so much (right down to the filler nozzle) that you would need a donor car anyway.1 point

I've just shipped out four Genuine 18" ST alloys with 225/35/18 Tyres fitted. There exactly 19kg each Length: 66cm Width: 66cm Height: 23cm cost me €19.75 each via tracked Courier from Ireland to the UK1 point

Just handed it back. I would have gone down that line if Ford were going to be difficult about it. They had 3 missed opportunities to put the fault right. I think Ford were ok about it because I said I would except another new Ford model of similar spec. Was thinking about a Mondeo Vignale but it didn't have the nice looks of an Edge. Mondeo ST comes close (ish) imo1 point

If I ever need to reject a car I am coming to you for advice and help with letter writing! Although I hope you wouldn't charge me £50 per letter lol. I've written that before, it was actually to BT, worked a treat. I sent them a bill for letters I wrote and also for my time, I calculated that at my hourly rate at work. That letter was worded amazingly, it was written in a very easy to read fashion but left you in no confusion as to what you expected and why. You can tell you've done your research. It's a good result following an unarguably bitter experience. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

Scrap the above post. Found guide about changin the stereo so on my list of things to do. lol1 point

No, you've just lost one of the caps. You don't have a locking nut. The standard nuts have a poorly designed cap that comes off quite easily. I've wrecked 3 personally and moved on to third party solid nuts.1 point

I don't like almost T-boning a Skoda which pulled out onto a roundabout just as I was going round! The driver was looking right at me as well when he did it, so it wasn't even an accident. Fortunately the Rover has good brakes and a nice loud horn which he got a long blast of. Idiot!1 point

Update on the RTI situation (without adding pre-conceived bias prior to legal proceedings)- Two counts of TWOC, Two counts of no licence, two counts of no insurance, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, two counts of reckless driving and--- two counts of driving whilst over the prescribed drink/drive limit. One was already out on licence so has been instantly remanded. And all this before I even got on duty [emoji41]. Sent from my SM-G930F1 point

Don't do it, lol. Also this question gets asked a lot, hence the brief reply. It does have a re-circ valve, but you only normally need to replace those when they leak under increased boost pressure from tuning. Even then it won't be any louder. Leave the tsh tsh noises to the backward cap brigade. Induction noise is a better thing to be after imo.1 point

I will never understand why French cars insist on having the spare wheel mounted to the undercarriage rather than a well in the boot, which is much easier to access and protects the tyre from being exposed to the elements.1 point

Hi I had a similar problem with mine I managed to push the ISO block between the two air vents that gave me a bit more room but the head unit is a tight fit from what I can remember1 point
