  4. I really like that it's semi detached with a garage on the side and a big driveway. 5 bedrooms is a bonus 😂. Have no idea if I'll get married or how many kids ill have. Probably might be cheaper in your area or might have to see in the surrounding area if it's cheaper.

  5. 5 bedrooms...are you expecting a lot of kids lol? House prices, wages, mortgages etc could all change so much over the next few years it's difficult to plan long term right now. At the other end of the scale, I'm still struggling to find a local self-contained studio flat for less than £450pcm...before my rent goes up on June 1st ideally...

  6. Just to clear things up; The nut that stripped and caused this debate was an LPB nut that came with the bearing and an unnecessary circlip. I stated earlier that the Ford nut stripped. My apologies for posting that misleading info I'm now off to Fleabay to find a Ford nut. Best regards and thanks again for your advice/input, H..

  7. I've just this minute started gradually increasing the torque on both hub nuts by 10NM steps. I'm now at 210NM (the limit of my 1/2" drive torque wrench).

  8. I don't like the silver Corsa that just flew out in front of me at a roundabout. Not one feck given as he shot out from the junction at over the 30mph limit without even a glance to the right. I don't like the Zafira who, less than 1 minute after the Corsa, decided to pull out in front of me on a two lane section of road to avoid stopping at the right turn signals, then immediately after passing the junction, brake and attempt a U-turn back towards the junction he had just skipped. I DONT LIKE VAUXHALL drivers!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. It sounds like the active city stop, all the facelift Mk3 Focus's have it from 2015 on so I would assume the CMax does as well. The car thinks you're going to hit the barrier so brakes for you. The sensor for this is on the windscreen, it's nothing to do with parking sensors.

  13. Thanks Stef.Well it kind of resolved itself. The coil pack footings were as brittle as Hell when I went to do the job the old (defective )coil fell to pieces and I just removed the two seized studs with grips!! Car now running beautiful but the engine lights still on.Do I reset it and how ? Or will it just go out eventually on its own?

  14. I've drilled a few heads off the screws on the older mk1. drill the head off them get grips on the remaining part once the coil pack is removed.

  15. Hello, my name is Jo. I have a Kuga that's at 2014 model, i love it. it's nice to be up so high. But is still miss my mini a little. I have a question about my seatbelts but i'll find the right section to ask All the best from Norfolk.

  16. Hi Jo, How long have you had the vehicle then?? If you have bought it recently from a dealer recently, then i would have thought that as its a legal requirement for a seatbelt to function correctly they should sort it?

  20. Don't know if this is a do or don't like but was looking on zoopla yesterday on house prices. Looked at some in an area I liked but they are really expensive some coming close to £1 million. One which got my attention is this one in another area. This one is a 5 bed semi detached house. What I like is the size, big driveway and garage on the side. Mortgage is £1800 for 30 years however and I just hope I get a good job after my education that I can afford it. Thinking I might save for a house first then save around £40k for a car so at least I have some investment in the car so if I do stay and pay mortgage for a house (other than renting) at least I have my car instead of taking home £500 a month (if I'm earning £2300) which now way I probably can afford a £30 - 40k car.

  21. ...and more interesting; I continued increasing Torque on the Ford nut and guess what? Yes, I'm at 290NM !! I went back to the LPB o/s nut and wound back the torque wrench to 180NM and again.. I got a 'click' 190NM, click. 200NM, errr, click. 210, no click, about to strip. Time for another Ford nut I reckon.

  22. Very interesting; I've continued increasing the torque by 10 NM on both front hub nuts.. The N/S is a genuine Ford. The O/S is LBP. I got to 220NM with both. I could tell that the Ford nut was performing much better than LPB. I went for 230NM.. The Ford nut gave the re-assuring click on my 500NM 3/4" drive torque wrench. The LPB is about to strip. No way on this Earth will that nut reach 290NM. I'm now minded to invest in another genuine Ford nut. All input to this thread is much appreciated. H..

  23. Thanks again Ian, Yes, you're right on the 100 NM My mistake; I've just re-checked the Ford instruction and indeed the 100 NM is the 'pre-load' torque. I still find it impossible to believe that my type of hub nut will withstand 290 NM. The last one certainly didn't. However, The one that stripped was included with the 'LPB' bearing. It wasn't a genuine Ford nut. Could there be a difference?

  24. Hi All I too have been looking at Forscan, with a view to tweaking some of the bells and whistles on my Edge, but not until the warranty expires. One of the tweaks I am looking at is activating my Auto Relock (mentioned elsewhere on these forums), if I get no success on warranty with this (currently ongoing). I have read a great deal on the forscan forum, having also downloaded and registered a copy of the software. I have also looked at the American forums to see what they have to say about doing this. Through what I have seen so far, the Edge seems to be very similar to the 2015 - 2019 F150s, in that a lot of the codes seem to match, as found out through the forscan forum. But, the post that I read, goes on to mention that also the Edge is similar to the 2011 - 2015 Explorer, and the 2014 Onwards Fusion, and the 2017 Super Duty F150s. I purchased the ELM327 Usb OBDII Diagnostic Tool Interface Code Reader For Ford HS CAN/MS CAN from Amazon in readiness for when I start to tweak I am currently compiling a chart showing all the codes from the above 4 models against all the codes that I have already read from my Edge (a long process). I will post this chart once I complete it. KugaEdge - If you read this post, did you come across any pitfulls when you tweaked your car? Any other things to be wary of? I am presuming correctly that maybe you have to modify several codes in different modules sometimes to activate/deactivate certain features? Will post more later. Happy motoring Dave

  26. The image of the 100nm torque was only the initial torque before fully torqued to 290nm . Torqued both nut types to 290nm no issues. The strange nut you refer to has been used also on the rear hubs ( slightly smaller version) , and on other models too in focus to torques of 235nm ok.

  27. Yup was gonna reply and say I have just done one recently and it was 270 or 290nm but 290nm it is lol.

  31. Just gain access behind the arch liner and the pump just pulls off the tank. Most probably need to take the wheel off for best access. The seal between the tank and pump is also the filter so I'd take advantage and clean that while you're there. Sent from my SM-G965F (S9+)

  34. Most insurance companies actually don't reduce premiums because you have installed a dashcam. Adrian Flux claims to give upto 15% discount for having a dashcam installed (specific models only), as does AXA (not limited by brand). The only others which I have come across are Surething and Swiftcover but both those require Netxbase specific cameras.

  36. If you put your vehicle VIN into https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/ it should recognise your specfic build details and it's just a case of you navigating to the correct section to see the parts and their respective Ford part numbers.
