New Wing Mirror Purchased, How To Fit?

Hey guys, had an accident a few months back and only just got round to purchasing a new drivers side wing mirror unit.

Just wondered if someone could give me a quick reply as to how I fit this? It isn't a power folding mirror so I'm assuming this shouldn't be too hard a job.

I take it i have to remove the door card?

Thanks!

its real simple actually, no need to touch the door card...

open the door and look in the direction of the hinges...and on the opposing inside part of the door to the wingmirror you will see a grommet about 50mm in size.

Prize this off and you will find a 13mm nut behind.

undo that...hold the wingmirror as it starts to loosen...and you will have it off!!

Thanks, figured this out myself shortly after posting the thread!

Anyway you do have to remove the doorcard as this gives you access to the wiring connection.

Cheers,

Cool...at least it sorted...I never had to remove the door card for some odd reason...maybe the year it was made the wires were different!?

Thought I'd post here as I didn't see the need of creating a new thread, but is it as simple as removing the 13 mm nut with no need to remove the doorcard? I only ask as I noticed there was a star shaped screw to the left of the nut and I need to swap my mirror unit over after demolishing the one I have on at present

You need to remove the door card I am afraid mate, as you need to feed the wires behind the door. This is so you can connect it to the mirror control toggle
