So, today me and my father made a B-Line over the entire West Midlands to place an order (set up via DealDrivers.co.uk - Thanks for the advice guys!).

Overall I paid £13,244 - which included 12 months tax, aliminium pedals, aliminium scuff plates, custom registration being transfered onto the car and £10 petrol, as well as the dres up kit, titanium X pack, Technology pack, spare wheel. lol.

I got a discount of £2,124. However the list price online of the spec I want is £15,595 which is a saving of £2351! And by ordering before Wednesday I saved myself an aditional £800 - So overall a saving of possibly £3151!!!! The price I payed is now price-locked so any bonus changes ford introduce won't effect me.

Wow.. As I said thanks again guys for recommending DealDrivers!

My delivery date is not yet specified, but he thinks end of May begining of June. YAAY!

On a side note, how do I find out the exact build/delivery dates for the car, as Iv'e seen a few of you stating the exact day and even some of you the time?! Can it be done online or do you have to ring someone?

On Another side note I'm going to test drive the Titanium 1.6TiVCT tomorrow at 11.00am... Its a bit late now, so I hope I like it AHAH!

Thanks again guys, I'm so excited.

p.s. Iv'e already named him (yes, its a male!)

His name is 'Marty', after back to the future!

Its slogan/nickname is "The Gray Reef Shark" - Named after the SEA GRAY colour and the fact that the centre console reminds me of a sharks nose!

(My OH wants to call it Doc, but thats just silly).

All worth while in the end then. :D

We just have to keep you calm now whilst you're waiting. So, what was it, Sea Grey or White?

half and half. I had the main body sea gray but the bumpers, side skirts and spoiler frozen white.

Only joking, I went for sea gray in the end... primerily because its only available on Titanium or Zetec S so lower modesl can't have it and also the retention is slightly more (i think 54% aposed to white being 40% over 3 years).

I SHOULD be able to keep relatively calm. I do have to take my registration plate off my current car and get it available to put into the new car... so thats my next tast. I'm looking forward to getting my build and delivery dates through though! Do they ring you I persume?

Also, if the car was delivered to the dealership.. would the car be delivered to me the same day as if i picked it up? I.e. WOuld i get it earlier if i picked it up as oposed to getting it delivered? I'm concidering getting it delivered on the back of a lory, but it seems a little waste of moneY!

I'm sure they gave me an estimated delivery date when I ordered, if not, I may have rung them up a week later and they gave it me then. For me, the date given was Sat 7th March, which is the week ending, so it could come in any day during that week. My car actually came in to the dealer on the 6th, but I could only have it delivered the following Thurs, which was the 12th. I did offer to go and pick the car up, but they said I could only do that on the 13th, Friday the 13th. He did give me a reason for this but I can't remember what it was, something about proccessing so many amount of cars, as I would imagine they sell quite a few from that dealership.

I just rung them every couple of weeks just to make sure the delivery date hadn't changed as the date they give you is subject to change, it's not written in stone as some people think due to other circumstances outside of the dealership's control.

As far as I'm aware, the dealership isn't that far from you in Notts, so I wouldn't waste money on getting it on the back of the transporter just to save a few miles, if you are that keen to get it with minimum miles, pick it up. Don't worry about them delivering to you, they use a proffessional driver.
