jeebowhite
crikey! I havent heard of anything personally that would cause the engine to die altogether, but the intercooler pipe doesnt surprise me. How much did / would that have cost you (in the event of a warranty repair?)
multifix
The car was out of warranty,Igot a recon engine +fitting £3300.The orther one hasn't been fitted yet.The recon was fitted November last year
jeebowhite
there's always the possibility the engine was due to a duff recon, so theres no guarantee on the issue being the car eating them? it is possible that its misfortune though... multifix
The intercooler, radiator and pipework was replaced by ford dealer.it was the intercooler that failed
jeebowhite
very odd! I really dont know of anything personally, it could always be an electrical fault that remained after the replacements? Unfortunately though, I would suggest if anything, the dealer may recommend a replacement of the entire wiring harness, best part of £700 and no guarantee of a fix!
