pikestones
I'm much more intrigued as to why diesel is now the same or cheaper then petrol everywhere? What have I missed? If you go back more than about 3 or 4 years ,diesel was always cheaper than petrol. Rising numbers of cars using diesel has pushed up the price, simple supply and demand. Traditionally Diesel always falls in price in the summer, this is because diesel is "heavy oil",which is much the same as central heating oil, obviously demand for this falls in the summer and price reduces, having a knock on effect on diesel prices.
