I'm averaging 33mpg since I got mine. It's Mountuned though. I dunno if that helps or hampers mpg...

Not to sure to be honest bud. I've mainly been keeping mine under 3000-3500 rpm till everything's settled in, so not sure if that's helped

If you drive it real nice you can see 42 from it! But MPG will get better as you bed everything in.. Expect to see your best results after the 1000 mile mark :)

Drive it real nice, LOL Dave, where's the enjoyment in that? :D

I've done ~1800 (1.0 125) and still only get ~36 ;)

I love it tho and the poke still surprises me. My XR2 felt dead after a couple of weeks.

Yeah, there is no fun in that, I was driving home from Birmingham at like 3am and thought a cruise at 70 would do me good!

I usually see anywhere between 32 and 36!

But the point was if you really want to save the pennies you can ;)

I'm getting the same as I was in my 1.0 Zetec s, but I think it's because the st's power and torque is so much better, where as in my zs I had to give it some to get it to go.

Defo loving the car so far!

If there's anything owning this car has taught me is that you'll never stop loving it. Like your first proper girlfriend, aside from the fact your baby won't turn in to a raging psychopath *personal experience* :')

Those fuel consumption figures are terrible, if you drive it properly you should be getting less than 30 mpg.

50 on the motorway in 6th really does boost up that mpg figure. !Removed! average speed cameras on the M60 :(

Had a drive today, mostly lanes and can say what a car ford have made! It's just point and go.

One thing I don't like though, is how crap the screen wash ford have put in aha

I added the mountune upgrade to my screen wash, & I've got to say it's now brilliant.

Treated myself to a trip to mountune yesterday.

They happily took my money for mp215, billet short shifter, boot mat and floor mats.

Short shifter any good?

I was gonna invest, then I thought if I just tug the knob harder it'll go in quicker!

Yeah the shifter feels nicer, Better than the standard.

But didn't really notice much different in the car other than induction noise from it all haha
