Leezer
I've got the 100ps ecoboost at the minute and could upgrade to red edition in about 6 months time. My question is, do you think it would be worth it? The alternative would be to just get the bluefin and have the extra power but I'd be interested in hearing from someone who upgraded to red edition from 100ps model. I guess it would come down to insurance really. . . Try to find out how much it would be to blufin the car and then how much of a quote a 140ps is? alexp999
It is probably cheaper to insure a car with 140PS, than a 100PS one which has been mapped...

Reids Red Edition
Man, you better off getting 100BHP and remap. I had the 100BHP chipped on Bluefin and only changed to the Red 2 weeks ago...Brother I miss my old car. The Editions are okay, but aint worth the price hike.
Leezer
It's an interesting one. I only have my 100ps 8 months and already I'm getting a bit restless. Not that the car isn't great, because it is, but because I went from a pretty !Removed! car to this one I think I have it in my head that when you buy a new car it is always going to be better than the last (minus the obvious nostalgia of course).I think I'm swaying towards the remap at the minute. The reason I'd still think red edition would be the warranty being covered!

So it was actually £77 cheaper for the chipped 125 and I still have my warranty too.
Cablelad
Ford insure wouldn't do mods, had to shop around. Got a cracking deal through LV which was 70 quid cheaper then Ford's £300 quote with all mods listed.(40% chip, lowered, exhaust, spacers..etc). I could have got the ST, but the other half hated the seats... :( so we agreed on the 125, which is a great car. No tax, okay on fuel and pretty quick. Good luck with the car hunt Tom.

Once you've got the mods and remap done have a look at getting the ST turbo fitted and you'll have your ST basically ;)
