Cookey09
Locke Park, Barnsley, host an annual Gala and Classic Car show, I've visited before as a kid and had a walk round but thought nothing of it, even though I collected Scale models and still do to this day, but as I've grown up and have a car of my own, wash it, clean it, look after it religiously. I now appreciate these classic cars and the amount of effort the owners put in to keep their pride and joy up, running and gleaming. Restoring, polishing bringing old motors back to life. Of course, you have to have money to able to afford such a hobbie and passion but fair play to them all. There was plenty of classic Ford's, from Capris' to Mustangs, Escorts to Fiesta's, as well as the modern motors of Aston Martin and Chevrolet Corvette. Enjoy the pictures. Cookey.
Preecematt
Wow Cookey! Those are some great pictures, my favourites are the Red Convertible Corvette, 2 tonne Capri with the pepperpots(dad had the exact colour and wheels, his was a 3L) and the St200 Mondeo.

Glad you liked them! That Corvette as I walked away, the owner jumped in and started revving it up... gutted... as I was long gone by then otherwise you'd have had a video attached too... My dad had the exact same Capri too, a Y Reg 2.8 ltr, same colour and wheels. :D
Cookey09
The photo album the owner put in the engine bay is a collection of the car's full restoration.

Shame as more often than not, the owners never give them a good thrashing, only tootle about in them, which in some respects is fair enough. I think Dads was a C Reg. He had a black 2.8i that was a A reg and had the ending BEC(can't remember the numbers) and that spent most of it's life in the garage with head gasket troubles lol. Shame there isn't an online restoration thread of that Capri. Be an awesome read

They must be local to me as a few weeks before I saw it filling up at a petrol garage... So hopefully I might be able to catch it on my dashcam at some point 😉 I agree, but only they will know how delicate their own engines are. And yeah my dad has just sent me his reg number over, I think he just sold his on, I'm unsure if there was any issues with it. AJX 936Y. What me and my brother did was buy a scale model of a Capri for his birthday or something last year I think it was.
