Kevin72087208
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I am not competent at carrying out my own repairs although I do have some knowledge. I have a big problem with my Mondeo tdci 130 which is in my mechanics work shop for heater plug replacement. Two of the plugs will not come out and my mechanic is concerned they will snap in the head. He said he can't get his burner in but is going to use some heat method with a new tool he has purchased for this job. I trust the mechanic 100% and his work and knowledge. I'm concerned these plugs will not come out so I ask anybody with knowledge what will be the next step if these plugs don't come out or snap in the head. Am I looking at a hefty bill or can anybody give me some hope with this if the head has to come off and what will happen next. Concerned my Mondeo is gonna become a money pit. Any advice or words of hope would be appreciated thanks in advance Kevin.
WES180
Welcome to the site Kevin! Hopefully your mechanic will sort it. I wonder if he is going to use a portable induction heater like one that i seen Edd China use on Wheeler Dealers. Good piece of kit.
