rustneversleeps Posted February 10, 2010 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Hi guys/girls needing to remove drivers seat from van ,but Im reading in the manual about mechanical and pyrotechnic pre-tensioners,whats that all about.Seemingly there is a spring somewhere that will take yer fecking head off. Y plate (2001)55van cheers ers51 the pretensioner is basically a small explosive charge that goes off should you have an accident, it will pull your seatbelt tight to hold you in the seat. disconnect the battery and leave it 10 mins. then you can unplug the pretensioner without any fear of it going off Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
