Bailie050310
Hi everyone new to the focus club I have a mk3 2011 titanium x. Drivers side folding mirror just stopped working yesterday passenger side fine. Can anyone tell me if these are separately powered with there own fuses or are they together and I've most likely got a faulty motor? StephenFord
When operated, can you hear any noise at all from the mirror?

StephenFord
Can't say for certain, but previous cars I've had with posh mirrors all had the same fuse controlling both. As there is no noise at all, I would seek to see if there is a break in the wiring that simply isn't supplying power to the motor. A grinding noise would have discounted this avenue, and pointed towards a worn motor grinding against the gearing retracting wheel. If you're not DIY inclined, it's a few minutes work for an auto spark to diagnose...
