What you guys up to during lockdown?

I thought that all cars had female names given to them, Martha the Mondeo, Freda the Fiesta, Edwina the Escort etc. Trucks and vans are usually given male names, Tommy the Transit, Robbie the Ranger, etc. I called my previous car, the MK1 Focus, Porky, because it was a bit if a pig at times!

Back in the day I had a Clio Renaultsport 172.  Cracking little hot hatch, high-revving n/a engines just like they should be.  The last 3 letters on the plate were FAF so I called her Fifi, as she was French and flighty.

I still miss that car now.

Hmm, I just don't see the Mk5 Mondeo as a Martha...look at those sexy body lines and in that shade of red too...  More of a Marilyn I reckon! :biggrin:

My Brother had a 172 (dont think he named it)... and then a 182 after he rolled the it (*****). Quick cars but man! that steering wheel was massive. Personally, I didn't like driving it.

My mate called his MK1 Fiesta " The Minx" and then his MK2 Fiesta "Rodney", think he's named his current DS3 Rodney too.

I'd call that a fox as they generally fly through hedges and roll around

Should buff out though atleast it wasn't the electric's killed that one 😂

haha, No, electrics would have been some years later I reckon. Another friends Laguna suffered electrical problems, pain in the butt it was.

I wonder how many Renault Clio owners back in the late 80's to mid 90's called theirs Nicole?

No, you can't call the Mondeo Marylin, it hasn't got any side skirts on it!

And before anyone says that we are not keeping to the topic title, I say we are, because what we're all up to during the lockdown is posting rubbish here! 😁

Yep, exactly.

Although I'm supposed to be working 😉. Currently still working full-time but from home of course, though the amount of hours could be going down by 20% from June (so cut in salary too). I feel for those who aren't getting paid as my 2 brothers and some closest friends are self employed and can't work at all at the moment.

So far on my normal days off (weekends) I've made a compost bin from an old pallet, so I have somewhere to get rid of weeds and grass cuttings as the tip is closed, jet washed the garden paths, washed the car, fixed the back gate, painted the shed, put up some shelves (bought last year) and done a lot more running and cycling than usual seeing as the weather has been so good lately 😎

Have also been reading up on Line level converters as thinking of sticking an old sub back in the car as I've not bothered since I bought the Mondeo in 2013.

Maybe he parked over a subway vent? :wink:

Got the grass cut before it rained 👍

What have I been doing?  Not walking, that's for sure...  :sad:

If you were eating supermarket rubbish then those calories were not there in the first place, that's why you didn't gain any weight, you may have actually lost weight! 🤔

When you have to park the car on the road so you sit in it making people aware to be extra careful when passing it and not hitting it 😂

Went to Lidl in Ireland this week they had some garden activity equipment for sale;

Picked up a swinging basket for our five year old son but turns out the whole family can have a go as there rated up to 150kg so my wife likes swinging now 😂

I'd paint the fence over there but all the DIY shops are closed and the dog has the grass in bits but he's happy.

On a more serious matter;

Picked up a liquid chalk set for the eldest also from Lidl

Thought nothing about letting them paint on the driveway; they chose to create there own social distancing margins 😂

it was all fun until now 😲 when I've just spotted the 3 year warranty stamp printed on the box

I thought it was just chalk that the rain will wash away; I sincerely hope it is 😂

Otherwise I'll be purchasing alot of petrol to wash it away.

Topping up his black and Tan

Having a rare day off.
Gave the dogs a good run this morning then washed / dried them so they are now all fresh and spotless (won't last long).
This afternoon I was fixing a colleagues laptop due to a siezed drive.
Afterwards I had a quick burn on Ghost Recon Wildlands before cooking stir fry for tea.
Now chilling with a film.
Back on duty at 2am.

There is an application that can stop you from visiting other websites that would distract you from a specific time so you might want to use that.
