Craniac
Hi, I’m new to the forum and have a very annoying fault with my car. I have the new bi turbo wildtrak and the horn randomly starts sounding whilst driving. It only seems to do it in the mornings (bizarrely). if I move in my seat it sounds and sometimes sounds when turning the steering wheel. After driving for 15 mins the problem goes away until the next morning. So when I first got the vehicle (company vehicle btw) it had the ghost immobiliser installed as well as an anti collision camera system, these have been installed on all our company vehicle with no known problems to date, so naturally it was assumed the ghost system was causing the problem and they did a system update which cured the problem or at least I thought it did until last week when the problem returned. The ghost was disconnected a week ago and the problem went away-great it’s the ghost after all.... nope, the problem has returned, ghost is still disconnected meaning the fault lyes with the car. Has anyone had this problem with the horn or the alarm going off in the night? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RicTel
Mine also does this, sometimes I had to stop the car & remove the horn relay to be able to continue driving I found the cause accidently, I can make the horn sound by pulling/pushing on the bottom of the steering wheel, and also stop the random sounding of the horn by doing the same When it goes in for first service I'll get it sorted (hopefully)
iantt
Easy fix. the whole airbag assy just needs a nudge up or down depending where it's sat at the moment. Take 2 seconds to do .
