Hi ive got a edge sport 210 power shift and love it,

my problem is the sump plug has started leaking?

It leaked this time last year, ford tried telling me its normal for the edge to use oil,

Its started leaking again a lot worse than last year,

any one had the same problem? any help would be great,

When someone says "using oil" they generally mean burning oil rather than leaking it. Who did your service last? And do you know if they replaced the crush washer and tightened it correctly?

Thanks for the reply,

The sump plug isn't your usual screw in type.

It turns quarter turn then you put a pin (clip) in,

Ford did the service, the sumps plastic aswel,

Not had this problem and not heard of it as a common issue.
The sump plug is plastic and should be replaced each time it is removed. Did Ford definitely put a new one in?

If thread is stripped in sump drain only thing to do is replace it if plug isn't faulty.

I ordered a new sump plug today,£15.00 from ford,

I'm fitting it Friday so hopefully fixes the car, as i think its brilliant and ticks all the right boxes for me,

1 other thing its got  the sticking panroof when closing, is it a simple case of silicone spray on the rails?

many thanks firthy
