  • Any tips in trading the missus in ? I'd like a newer model preferably one that fires on all cylinders and doesn't moan too much...

  • Perhaps the ride is smoother because one wheel can no longer independently drop into a pothole so the car just floats over them?

Only people on here will know whether the STLX normally includes a camera or not!

My latest fuel report shows 53.3 mpg.

You should message them anonymously, and just inquire if the car has those bits, because you're only interested in buying a car with that feature - watch how quick the ad gets modified LOL

On the topic of getting a new car…the 2022 Ford Kuga which was a possibility, has made some changes….“Good news no price change” but snuck some cost cutting in there. 5th bullet point.

All Kuga’s now factory ordered will be the 2022 model year. The good news is that the specification changes below have not required any Motability price change.

Considering the amount of electrical equipment on the very popular ST-Line X model these are very minor changes. Still standard on the ST-Line X are the rear view camera (with wash), power opening panoramic roof, powered drivers seat, powered handsfree tailgate, heated front/rear outer seats, heated steering wheel, heated QuickClear windscreen, B&O Premium Sound System.

2022 KUGA MODEL YEAR CHANGES:

•    Wireless charging pad: Removed as standard across the range. Available as an option with a Recommend Retail Price of £150

•    Power Child Locks are removed as standard, replaced by manual solution

•    AM band is discontinued on both audio systems available on Kuga

•    Scuff plates are added back as standard to ST-Line Edition & ST-Line X Edition series (note – scuff plates were previously removed as standard on ST-Line Edition and ST-Line X Edition at 21.5MY)

•    Twist beam rear suspension is introduced on all FWD entities. The change is expected to deliver a slightly smoother ride due to improved impact performance.

•    PHEV ride height increased by 10mm

•    PHEV improvements to both CO2 and EV range performance: EV range increases from 35 miles to 37–39 miles (dependent upon wheels fitted)

In view of the extensive discussion on the Focus forum about loss of multi-link, that's a good one!😀😀

Perhaps the ride is smoother because one wheel can no longer independently drop into a pothole so the car just floats over them?

It’s either blatant cost cutting (but being honest about it unlike the focus) or maybe it’s space needed for the battery (uneducated guess there) . On the plus side the list of as standard on the stx is a lot more than the focus stx ever had.

Must have been sold, surely they'd have it on longer than a week?

Probably bought by one of the staff there, fed up with their Toyota being so damn reliable and fuel efficient... :whistling:

hehehe

I haven't  looked but I do think the demand is there for the spec atm with cars around the 2yr mk so it wouldn't suprise me one bit if it was sold within a week.

Houses have sold quicker that I do know 👍

Yes, I think someone has bought it.  Checked today and it's taxed.  Cool, I'm glad it hasn't just sat getting mouldy and not used.  I'll have to look out for it on the roads.

The date of the last logbook issued is July 7th 2021...before you traded it in?

There is also a massive 'sold' across the image in your earlier link though!

That would have been when I took the private plate off.  I guess if just bought the new logbook might not have gone out yet.

I'll ask next time I'm at the dealers.

I found out some more.

Apparantly it was bought by a lady in Rugby who had been having some hard times in life and then was messed about by the Ford dealer.  She was driving past the Toyota dealer in Cov, saw it on the forecourt and that was it.

Hope it serves her well
