mmm... so, how will you know a 'good one' then? 🤣

I tried 2 sets of ones off eBay for something like £9.99.

I also not long ago got me some ford brackets (new)to put on if needed as a nice few years of trying  i do think something is wrong with my Hatch.

It's not had a bang and it's in line as been checked,2 sets and SGS ones can't all be wrong Hence the reason why i had Emerald ones which i had on Xmas offer 20% off the £79.99,it's the only dam thing that works, one day i will try my other ones with the new brackets.

ordered some stabilus ones off ebay from parts in motion and fitted them today.. no the boot doesnt automatically open when you push the button like the emerald ones but im not bothered about that and they are cheaper and work fine.

probably lol they were like £46 each on ebay for genuine ford ones! i paid like 36 for 2x stabilus ones! they are so easy to fit as well.. you just pry the clip off with a flat head screw drivers on both ends then pull them off. to get the new ones on you just press them on, thats it

You are asking if anyone recommends the use of genuine Ford parts that came with the car from the factory? Sorry buddy, I don't understand... They obviously can fail, otherwise there wouldn't be such a huge market for replacements, but, they all fail in the end and simply wear out with use. My mum's 22 year old Toiyota Yaris struts failed before Christmas, barely having enough strength to open the tailgate, genuine Toyota ones were £200+ each!! I picked up a set of Ebay ones for £20, work just fine.
