You are not doing a repair. You are making a new key. The software is proprietary for the very best of reasons.

Do you still get the 'classic' option on Win 11?  I've run both windows 8/8.1 & Windows 10 in the classic view without the 'tiles'.  I want my laptop to look like a laptop...not a phone!

  • One of the main things I detest about Windows 10 (and 11 no doubt) is the way those arrogant bar stewards at Micro$oft have taken away control of updates from the customer. As I don't use my laptop ve

im not making a new key, im just adding another key that i already have to my car that i own, how would it be if everytime you need a key for your home you had to pay 200 quid,  be different then, that law is there for this very reason

Rather more difficult to move a home to another location. Companies have the right to protect their intellectual property and security software is just that. You are exactly making a new key. It is cut from a blank. A  raw material. The right to repair does not cover this. If it did, you wouldn't need a new key because you would not have anything to open with it.

we have a law in this country that prohibits ford from stopping me do it myself,  its called the right to repair law and it states that manufactures must provide manuals, drawings and not make things inaccessible to repair

What country are you living in ?

Ironically, the UK also has legislation for, 'right to repair'. Ironic because it's an EU legislation introduced in 2021 long after we 'left' the EU, but we still adopt much of it's legislation as we're not clever enough to design our own. With Labour in charge, I fear we will adopt pretty much all future EU legislation.

It was a sensible question as the absence of capitalisation and punctuation in any of your previous posts suggested that English is not your first language. Programming is very fussy about such things, which means that the cost of having a key professionally made would, in your case, be money well spent.

Furthermore, the right to repair law does not apply to equipment sold before the First of July 2021 and therefore your 2019 car would not under any circumstances be covered by its provisions.
