Ka Roof Rubber Strips

One of the black rubber roof strips has come off my wife’s 57-plate Ka. What do you think is the best adhesive to fix it back on with which won’t eat the paint and hopefully make it car-wash jet wash proof?

Can you post a photo of the problem ?

Have you also got a 1997 Ka or is your profile out of date ?

Profile needs updating.

Hopefully here’s a photo of the roof and the rubber strip which needs reducing…F1610083-B971-43F2-8AD5-312CC84D3C9E.thumb.jpeg.5a989e6efaeee5fd10aa80e5e1778ae5.jpeg

Clean the groove and rubber with isopropanol (IPA) and then use clear silicon to fix back in place. Clean off any excess silicon with the IPA. Leave it 48 hours before going through a car wash.

Cheers. I just happen to have a fresh tube of clear silicon with 1/4 left in it so will try that once the daytime temperature is back to a sensible level. At least the rubber strip is a bit more flexible at the moment!
