Wiring harness stuck in tailgate

Hi

The high center stop light isn't working on my Ford Ka 2011 (RUB) and voltage is showing between 2-5 Volts on the socket. I expect the wiring to be broken/exposed somewhere, and would like to have the wiring harness pulled out of the tailgate (a bundle including the washer hose and wires to rear window and stop light) for inspection. But I'm not able to pull it out, it seem to be stuck in there. Do you have any ideas on how to do it, without breaking it?

It will be secured in several places, definitely do not pull it. Any possible loom damage is likely to be at the umbilical.

Pop out and peel this back before going further. Just make sure you refit correctly to stop leaks.

But I would start at light.

5 Volts could be correct, is the earth ok, and are you checking with the pedal depressed ?

Perhaps a little late to the party ? That was posted 4th Feb and the poster never came back.

Ah well. I tried.

Always nice to know if an answer was found.
