lublin Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 I don't know about the cam belt but the auxiliary belt look extremely easy to do when I watched a mechanic replace it after I had a idler wheel replaced. If you're replacing the cam belt then I would also do the water pump at the same time. Check the bearings in the rollers for the aux belt too as I've had two go noisy in a short space of time. Don't let the parts shop sell you a Mondeo water pump telling you it's the same because they run backwards if used on an Escort, I have had one or two idiots here try to sell me Mondeo parts telling me 'they're the same'.
