New Ford Focus Titanium

Car in to dealers tomorrow for first warranty job - diagnostics flagged up fault with clutch pedal position as to reason Stop/Start doesn't work. Apparently there are 2 limit switches on the clutch pedal.

Update from dealer, replaced both switches - NO JOY

Spoke to Ford Technical who advised of further electrickery on the clutch cylinder ? Dealer wants to keep car for longer and dismantle that next :(

On the plus side, going on holiday soon so they can have it for the full 2 weeks !! Will report back with outcome.

P.S. How long do you give them to repair it before considering rejecting it ? Good case I would have thought - Stop/Start model which erm doesn't Stop/Start lol

think i might have to have the door re sprayed all ready  those drips wont polish out without taking to much laquer off, think i am going for the 18's,got a quote of £540 for the alloys and the steering rack limiter, just need to get £400 for my other alloys for tyres though.i might fit r18 225/40 rather than the 235/40 as there £40 cheaper a tyre for pilot sport 3 anyway, theres only 5.3mm in diameter, could someone with 18's give me your full tyre spec ie 235/40/w95/xL/fp etc is this correct?

I have found a drip in the lacquer on my car as well. Right under the mirror and about 6" long. It is booked in at the paint shop in 2 weeks time to try and flat it out. I have told them I will not have the door resprayed as the car has only done 600 miles so if it will not flat they have said they will change the door from another new car so the paint is standard. Worth you asking if you can have that option as spray jobs are never a perfect match

cheers

Steve

Hi, I don't think the dealers fit them anymore, I've asked for mine not to be anyway as it look silly next to the different font of the 'Focus' badge...

Chris
