Painting Drums And Calipers ?

hi

in the summer im wanting to paint mines so it looks better behind the wheels :)

only thing is if i was to paint them would i void warranty on the brakes or should i be ok ?

also im going to paint drums black and calipers silver if im allowed :)

From what I understand you only void it by changing parts not just by painting them although I've been wrong before

Yeah think your right mate.

As long as you don't splash on that much you cause a problem with the calipers you should be okay.

careful as I have seen cases where cheap "brake safe" paint has caught fire.

buy branded stuff from a reputable store like Halfords, not chinese stuff from eBay.

anyone know where i can get good black/silver paint ?

Halfords. They do their own brand tin of caliper paint and a rattle can for the drums. They do a very high temp can for £7.49. The tin should be around the same price.

They also do a good paint prep wipe pack. Good for cleanimg down the area before you paint.

I've done all mine and they look great :-)
