Hi,

I have one of the above units in my focus but would like to enable bluetooth audio streaming to it. My focus wasn't fitted with the USB port so I am wondering does anyone have the firmware and a way to install either via the SD card slot or via burning to cd and running this way.

Hopefully someone will have managed this in the past and can help.

    Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) has nothing to do with the Travelpilot FX. This function is fully controlled by the Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module. There are 2 different types of Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module.

    1. Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module with only Bluetooth/Voicecontrol support. This module has part number 8M5T-19G488-XX.

    2. Bluetoot/Voicecontrol module with Bluetooth/Voicecontrol, USB, Ipod en Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) support. This module has part number 8M5T-19C112-XX.

    If your car does not have a USB socket it is almost certain that the first type of module is fitted. This module does technically not support Bluetooth Audio. Updating the module will not add this function on a module which does not support it. Only on very early versions of the second type of module the Bluetooth Audio function can be added by updating the module.

    If you want to get Bluetooth Audio working you have to install a different Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module.
