You do the full detailing works on mine and I'll buy you 2 bottles!

To be honest the best colour I have ever had for not showing the dirt was silver which I had on a complany car - it could go for months without being washed and you could not tell. I am hping that squeeze is going to be the same as once the initial excitment has warn off then my cars tend to go from being washed once a week to once a month . . . .

Silver's the best colour for not showing the dirt--only problem is every pigging car you see is silver so that put me off a silver Fiesta.

That said, a few years ago when my annual mileage was about 20k I had a silver 306 Pug which always looked clean even when it wasn't--top car that was--Peugeot made a serious error when they deleted the 306 and replaced it with the 307.

The 306 had class and character and was a lovely drive whereas the 307 is ugly and handles like a great big people carrier.

Surprisingly, white is also a very good colour for masking the dirt but it has to be bright, proper white and not the dingy horrible off whites that some manufacturers offer nowadays.

If I hadn't had so many company cars in the past that were white, I might have considered white myself...........

Must admit I my offering from work was either a 306 or a 406 and as I did not like the look of the 306 I went for the bigger more expensive one - was like sitting in an arm chair driving it around

I had a 405 diesel Pug which was a top car--I actually managed to keep it for nearly three years because it was so comfortable and economical too.

It saw some sights that car did........ ;) ;) ;)

have now seen 5 diiferent fiestas in white in essex :o

The old pugs used to be nice and some-what reliable! Now look at the abominations they are producing, yuck. That's why I decided to jump ship and come over to the Ford-side. 1007...*shudder*

I kept mine for nearly 4 and racked up almost 100,000 miles in it - was kinda sad to see it go when I left the Royal Mail and had to hand it back

Poor Puggy had been round the clock twice when she finally went to her retirement place and I was a bit pigged off because I'd hoped to get 300k plus out of her.

There was nothing wrong with her body though but the replacement 406 / 407 doesn't quite cut it for me.......... B)

Besides I struggle to keep a car for 2 years now...... :)

Peugeot's are very reliable I think.

I learnt to drive in my dad's 406 estate...it's done over 150,000k now. He's just sold it to have the focus but it hardly had any trouble with it.

I test drove a 207 and broke down on the test drive though :-) maybe it's just the bigger engines :P

I'm the other way round - when I started driving I would not have a car a year before changing it - even when I had a brand new Mini Mayfair (B935 GPN) it only lasted 10 months (and 16,000 miles) before I traded it in.

These days the cars hang around a lot longer - the OH has told me that this fiesta has to last at least 5 years and thats why he has let me get everything on it I wanted (well with the exception of the keyless entry but 400 for a gimic is a bit much really)

Mrs Hedgepig has said that about every car I've had but.......in one ear and straight out of the other! ;)
