Want To Join The Yorkshire / M1 South Ford Fair Convoy?

Guys I'm afraid I am going to have to drop out of the convoy. My son and his mate have decided we should go down on Saturday and camp overnight at Whittlebury which is right next door to the circuit.

So I will keep this thread open and get all the details you guys will need to make sure you can still go down together. Will someone volunteer to lead the convoy down on the day? I will PM all the information over to them next week.

Once again my apologies for this late change of plans but hopefully will see you on the stand on the Sunday.

Nathan that's the basic idea I had.

The route is dead easy guys, M1 southbound to J15A. Take the A43 signposted to Silverstone circuit on one of those brown signs. Take the A43 all the way to the circuit turning off the dual carriageway where it is signposted. When you come off the A43 take a left at the roundabout, still signed Silverstone circuit on brown signs, the road will be divided into cars for stands and those for the general car parks.

I suspect there will be lots of Fords all going the same way as you so just get in the queues and follow them.

If you all want to PM me your mobile numbers I will share them with one of you so that you can all keep in touch. I'll also give you my number so you can ring me on the morning if you have any problems. I can always meet you at the McDonalds on the A43 which is a couple of miles before the circuit and you can follow me from there on in.

It was son and his friends idea not mine honest. If you want to camp you have to book via Ford Fair website, £12 per person which is pretty cheap really. I only booked it today. The camp site is really good as well stayed there a few times myself in the past.

Sorry to hear you're dropping out Phil, but we'll manage, and we'll see you on the day of course.

I'll be at Woolley Edge as planned, unless no one else needs to go there. Paul if it's easier for you to start at Woodhall we could just meet there, and we'll see if anyone else wants to meet at Wooley Edge.
