Where can I get blue extended wheel nuts that are suitable for using with oem wheels?

The extended wheel nuts are generally for the JDM Scene with the #FilthyFitment

I had the remnants of a red set on the Toyota Levin I once had, you see the road salt eats in to the anodized coating and they corrode.

Also being an Asian aftermarket part; there's alot of imitations which may not be 100% safe.

if I was you id fit some 19mm blue wheel nut caps which would give same results and easier changed if corroded in winter.

Alternatively if you still want them try FK Performance which are close enough to you up north and have a good website. Also saw them on DoneDeal.ie before

you may also like to fit a blue Sparco tow strap to boot door😉

  • Folks you may have noticed that I've been relatively quiet on here for a while. The reason being, my wife and I have bought our first house together. We are finally getting settled and all is well so

  • That house looks very small... Or is it just far away?

I saw an ST focus at the car show with grey alloys and slightly extended blue nuts and thought it looked good. Wouldn't mind trying it on mine as I'm going for that black/blue theme.

I'll check out that place, thanks Lenny.

Cheers buddy, means a lot. I actually considered going for a 1.6EcoB TitX at one point. Holding out for an ST though. If you need any help/ideas just ask :)

Sorry to ask a question not related to your thread but I can't find a confident answer.  Do you have auto wipers, if so how do you set them to come on?

set wiper switch to intermitant, sensitivity is set by what would be intermitant adjustment

So when on intermittent it will only come on when it rains and not intermittent all the time?

yep

Just remember to set them to off when you stop the car in winter as otherwise if you have a frozen screen when you start the car, they'll try to wipe and damage the wipers.

Thanks guys and again sorry took hijack the thread

Yea basically flick wiper stalk up one notch then set the sensitivity by the small 'wheel' on the same stalk. The further up the 'wheel' is spun the more sensitive it becomes.

So I did a thing:

Drill slipped and moved too close to the edge from where I had it marked. Still went ahead with it though.

Still a bit too bright to show fully but you get the idea.

Has anyone successfully retrofitted genuine ford parking sensors on their car? I've got a set, without the modules, that id be interested in finding out if I can get them to work with my larger screen head unit.

Any idea what would be involved? I know it'll prob need coding in using Foccus or something.

Any help or suggestions appreciated :)

front, rear or both? for genuine sensors you will need the parking module relevent to front, rear or rear only. and you will need the wiring harnnesses on the car

if you have everything then its just a case of switching it on in centralcar config.
i used the cheaper route for rear parking sensors, aftermarket xvision, xvision module connected to vehicle harness, then switched on in config.
same colour display of park pilot as genuine.

I have the 4 sensors for the rear. I just need the module I reckon. But are you saying that aftermarket sensors can be used with the stock ford colour screen like mine? I.e the diagram of the car turns green to red depending on proximity ?

the only ones i know for sure aftermarket are xvision, then you have to purchase a special module/adapter that plugs directly into the vehicle harness, and yes to colour from green to red on display, had this on mine until i fitted reverse camera into system .

Did you do all this on the mk3 ? You don't have a 'how-to' naw ? I'd be very interested in getting the sensors + rear camera working on mine.

this was some time ago when i had a small screen, but you get the idea it shows the same as factory.

Excellent. So did you fit this yourself or have a dealer do it? If you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost ?

if you have the original sensors, do you have the harness with it as with harness it should plug in to the multiplug on right side under bumper. you need to check if you have multiplugs in the boot area for original module, just move back to carpet trim from  o/s . got a photo of that plug somewhere

I have the 4 sensors and part of the harness, it was cut by whoever had it before me. I'll have a look for the multiplug thing tomorrow. Post that pic if you can find it please.

thats the plug to look for , if you have that then you should be able to plug in an original module for your sensors , cant remember off hand if there were other plugs in the same area, as i only needed that one. but you will need to find another very simular thats wired from that location to under bumper multiplug.
