Mondeo Mk 1?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm new here. I currently own a Mitsubishi Galant VR4. I've always had a thing for mk1 Mondeo's and I'm looking to buy one. Just asking the question if anyone knows of a mk1 for sale anywhere that isn't on eBay etc. Or if anyone is planning to sell their mk1 in the coming months? The main thing I'm wanting is it to have the factory rs kit fitted - which I know is very hard to come by. I just missed out on the 2.0 white si with rs kit which was on eBay - gutted! Anyway, here's hoping. Cheers, Charlie.

Hi welcome :)

There was one on here not long ago, have a look through, it was a good one if I remember correctly

I'm guessing it would have been on the cars for sale section? Must have sold :(

Well if an offer was made, and it was a good one, maybe the OP of that thread may sell? Decent mk1s are getting hard to find, doesn't hurt to be proactive...

Not in for sale they where asking advice on price, thread here http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/75155-1993-mondeo-18-sale-advice/

Thanks for that. I've sent them a message regarding it. Not hopeful of a reply though as they've not been online since! Cheers, Charlie.

Hopefully they will get an email notification of posts on that thread, so make a post on it.

I loved my mk1 Mondeo. 1.8td. Never had an ounce of bother with that old car, had it for a couple of years, sold it to my mate who also kept it for a couple of year, he then sold it to his cousin who totally wrecked it within a couple of months. He just didn't look after it.

My other mate had a 1.8 td also which he had for 10 years, car had over 300000 miles on the clock and still ran like a dream, Just too much welding needing done to it in the end.

I do quite like the mk1, but finding a good one will be getting difficult though. However, they were a weapon of choice for the older gentleman, so some garage queens are out there. Just hard to find.

My mate had one, a K reg 1.8 which turned out to have a couple of bent valves and only ran occasionally on all 4, mostly it was a 3 cylinder. Look on Mondeoevolution.co.uk you might find one there for sale.
