Realistically, What Would You Like To Be Your Next Car?

Featured Replies

So... As the title suggests, what would you like your next car to be, realistically?

I mean we can all dream of owning Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Porsche's, Aston Martin's etc... And hopefully some day some of us will😉 but meanwhile, what car are you taking a keen eye to as your potential next car?

I'm personally looking towards the Ford Focus Zetec S/ST (ST, if work hard enough 😉) and the Seat Leon FR/Cupra. I wouldn't mind a Fiesta ST, Audi S1, but would like something a little bigger for future needs. Of course that is out of the cars that are currently on the market... Who knows what lies ahead that might take my fancy.

Edit: I do quite like the Kia cee'd GT Tech 😏

That Peugeot looks quite nice ... Ashamed as I'm a bit of a Renault boy myself. Family has had loads of them over the years.

Im not too keen on the interior of the peugeot, like the exterior though! :) and renault, they are like marmite for me, I like some, hate others haha! ;) I like the clio, not too keen on the megane.

Nice! Love the new mondeo! And obviously the mustang! More of a dream car for me!;)

New-gen Mondeo Titanium 2.0 EcoBoost (240PS) with 6 Speed Auto, in metallic silver.

Yes please. :whistling:

I'm in love with the new RS Focus but not sure if that's a dream car or not, as I could afford the monthly payments, same as the ST. Suppose it's anything that's got a bit more power than my Focus at the moment, I'm not unrealistic in my 'dreams' as the other half doesn't drive & because I've got kids, it's got to be practical.

Realistically it'll be a Ford Ka or Fiesta which will have cheap insurance. Once I've got a few years no claims though I'd love to get an old American Ford. Yes it would get about 10MPG, be incredibly slow and hard to drive but I don't care.

I've heard those Toaregs are hideously unreliable. My aunts friend had a V6 TDI, 07 plate which was always in the garage and ended up on fire...she has a Range Rover now.

A Range Rover costs a hell of a lot more though. I know I'm biased, but I'd go for a Ford Kuga.

Yep Range Rovers are hideously expensive. Burrington cars though, and there is nothing else really like them on the road.

Let's just say the one my dad is getting costs about the same as 3 Kuga's...My mum isn't impressed as it equals about 25 of her car.

Ford Kuga titanium X with sport appearance pack or whatever it is, looks a beast. Although the new Ford Edge looks decent!;)

Yeah I had a look around the new Edge when I was in the US back in the summer. Looks nice, will be interesting to see how it compares with the pricier, more 'upmarket' rivals such as the Evoque, Discovery Sport, X3, Q5 etc.

I don't know... Range Rovers are nice cars and all, but I would be happier in a MK1 Focus!! Expensive vehicles just don't appeal to me.

Ha that's fair enough! I love big expensive cars but I still love (and want!) a MK1 Focus and a Peugeot 306...

I understand where your coming from mate! Simple/cheap and cheerful is sometimes better! Its like, what would you have a 68' mustang or 65 plate mustang?;)

I was nodding my head until I got to the Peugeot 306! But, each to their own.

In fairness, even though they are unreliable I would probably buy a 405 if I had the money and space, just for the reminiscence.

Neither, never been a fan of the Mustangs. I prefer the big slow American station wagons and such like. I know, I'm weird!

Haha fair enough!;) and nah, not weird mate, people prefer that, I can understand you. Its just a slow/chilled out car, like its the idea that they have a solid, classic feel to them?

That's it exactly. Country music on, window rolled down cruising along at 55.

Well, regardless of weather really - have you tried smoking a cigar in an air tight vehicle?
