Unfortunately to get the BMW 123d soon I'm going to have to sell my much loved MK7 Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 tdci :(

I know that I'm going to miss it and that I will come to regret it, but it must be done as I do so many motorway miles I want something that has cruise control.

Hopefully I can buy the fiesta back when I can afford to do so!

I'm not going to be very realistic because the car I want doesn't exist haha. What I want is something that is exactly the same as a Toyota GT86 but with a small turbo engine like I already have in the ST. I test drove a 86 a few months ago and it would be the perfect car for me if not for the engine feeling really underpowered (there's also the slight problem that I can't afford to buy one).

Ford should bring back the Puma and make it a GT86 killer, with an Ecoboost boxer engine haha. Or better yet bring back the Probe with an Ecoboost V6 :)

Personally, I'd take the Suburu BRZ over the Toyota, It may be more expensive but they are rarer and i prefer Suburu's

Thought it was just a badge the difference in the 2?

Probe!! Seriously? Lol

I thought the Suburu was a bit more expensive, on a review i read on them they said the suburu just takes it because it had firmer handling. Still only got a 3 out of 5 though :P

Should be able to get a good deal on one of those with they way things are at the moment.

Although might also be worth waiting until everything is resolved...

Yeah I'm the same, I'd prefer the BRZ. Subaru made the car after all, can't remember what Toyota did to be honest apart from pay them for it lol.

Slightly firmer suspension on the BRZ from what I've heard, other than that not much apart from slightly different styling and interior.

Probe!! Seriously? Lol

What was wrong with the Probe? It was a good car, or at least the Mazda MX-6 was and they are basically the same car. Also it had one of the best sounding engines I've ever heard.

Decent alternative to the BRZ and GT86?😏

And I think between the GT86 and the BRZ, it would come down the drive of them both, whichever feels right. 😋

^ I've always liked the Z4 but I don't really want a convertible. I'm not in a position to be changing cars anyway, will more than likely keep the ST for another year or two so will wait and see what appears on the market in that time.

Something over 10 years old, petrol, 2.0 or over, and fast! :D

My options are open to most makes and models. :D

Hardtop z4 it is then 😉 and I'm the same, I reckon I'll have my Fez for around 3/4 year. Really curious as to what I decide on though!😉

And £25k, feel like I'd get something a bit more practical, and a better all rounder than the GT86, BRZ and z4 though haha!😋

Fingers crossed everyone on this forum wins big on the lottery, seperately, 😉 haha, then we'll talk about our next car!😉

What are your opinions on this?

I quite like it... It's just something about the red roof though! I like it, but I don't? I feel it should be black? With hints of red elsewhere...

Obviously same with the fiesta's... Not as much with red edition though. Think I prefer that😏

The thing is I've barely ever needed to make use of the "practicality" of the Fiesta. And I've heard of people putting baby seats in the back of a GT86 so you'd be surprised what you can do with a car like that. If there was a GT86 / BRZ with a 1.6 turbo engine I would have already placed an order lol, despite what I said about not being able to afford to change cars.

Fair enough then mate, sounds like you've got your perfect car already? but the BRZ And GT86 are like a coupé, bit more of a sporty feel, especially if it had the ST engine like you say.

^ Yeah they're not really about straight line speed. But getting into a car which feels noticeably slower than the ST and maybe £10k more expensive with some options would seem like a rip-off. The thing is I could almost forgive it because it was so lovely to drive. I suppose the real test is what cars do you feel jealous of when you see them on the road, and this is one of them (can't say I've seen a BRZ on the road though).

True that mate, you'd really have to fall for the car to find your self buying one. And your spot on with that buddy, I cant say I'm jealous of Fiesta ST's when I see them, as much as I wouldnt mind one, my brother has one himself, same as yours. And I've drove that a couple of times! They're fantastic! But but the firmer suspension puts me off a little bit, compared to my Zetec... but can't say that I dont love the ST because they are ultimately a £20k supercar.

there horrible! I quite like the black edition but tbh I think id look at a titanium focus next. I love the ecoboost engine and I have only had mine a few months!

You would think but Skoda and Audi residual have gone UP! I work in the Motor Trade and only VW specifically the Golf have seen a decrease in resale value, So my most recent briefing says......

Odd, as some Audi & Skoda & Seat models are all affected - as well as VW

I guess Joe Public arn't to clued up on these things :P
