For those who wanted some pics of armrest removal/ centre console

So all of the plugs electricals that come with the armrest plug straight into what is laying underneath the centre console of a standard Zetec? 

And how do you go about removing the gear leaver and surroundings? Does it just come up with the unit? 

Yep all plugs are there on standard zetec the gear nob just unscrews off everything just pops off

I'm not sure if your car has heated seats as standard but could you tell me if the plug and loom are present in your version to allow this feature? 

I have been trying to find out if the loom comes as standard on all models as I recently bought Recaro's and I'm hoping to hook up the heated seats function.

A couple of pictures. Really happy with it to be honest. Just needs cleaning up and dusting down! Can't wait to get it done 😏

Oh and my second batch of defectors arrived today too! But that's a whole different story! 😂

I want these too, but to be fair I might leave them till summer (or next payday) as I rarely have my windows open! Also, if I keep spending ill end up having too much month left at the end of my money!

I don't think you need to. I think thats just incase you want to get to the centre console, but as far as I am aware you only have to remove the lower plastic parts (I'm unsure to as why you would even need to remove anything with the gearstick? Unless you need to remove the black surround (around the gear stick, along with leather gear stick covering) to lift the old centre out. 

(I believe there are 2 clips to get it out - toward the front. Meaning you have to lift the full centre upwards and back toward the rear passenger seat - hence the shiny black surround being in the way> 

U have to to lift up the plastic under the gater surround to get to the screws

U need to get the black surpound what matches the armrest what sits under the gear stick gater and under the black glossy bit if u know what i mean
