If you lot are talking to me then if you have something to say, say it to me, do not slag me off

I need Maf wiring fixed - So far I have bought a few inches on new wires and plug (cost £50) , tried changing colors over, still not fixed, was about to get another auto technician to look it over but now need to save to get HG replaced, again.

Head gasket was diagnosed as ''gone'', garage refuse to fix it despite me paying them £950 9 months ago to do it, though found out they only did water pump. A friend now says he can replace HG for £400 but I need to pay extra £30 for head skim. car runs fine atm, no power loss, no dramatic water loss, no smoke, no oil water mixing.

Hopefull my mpg will improve after fixing MAF problem .

Thinking now my turbo is not !Removed!, My car does not smoke and I do hear turbo sometimes, But been told my turbo oil feed pipe has a slight leak so put it down to that.

Need to replace engine mount, think it is just the bolts it needs.

I have only had this car 9 months and spent around £2200 on it already, altogether on my 4 previous cars I think I have spent over £8,000 on repairs in 4 years.

please give me some decency

I'll happily say it to you - I think that you are making threads just for the sake of it and are looking for attention.

There, I said it.

@jmurray01  He seems to just be another 'keyboard warrior'. Not worth worrying about! Not really making a good first impression is he...

Not really Chris, not really.

I sense a telling off from the Mod team for this...but...hey ho...I'm in an !Removed! anyway....

For crying out loud - grow the hell up, stop being a prissy little !Removed!!!  This is a forum frequented by people in their spare time!  You don't get an answer, then assume nobody knows!!  Or you're being a !Removed!...one of the two.

You're having a go at us - and yet you want us to give you some decency? FFS - jog on princess!!

And as for spending £8k over 4 years on repairs - either the sellers have seen you coming, or you're just a really sh!te driver!

I think we'll draw a line under this one now eh lads?

Best thread ever! hahahaha, Fastlife91 you might have been better spending £8 - £10 grand on a decent car in the first place.

If you continually ask questions and ignore peoples advice and answers you can't really expect users to continue to try and help you and engage.

I knew what he was like from the moment he sent the reply he did to my post in this thread.

Well this thread went off track quickly...

Just for the record though, I don't think fastlife is a keyboard warrior, I think he gets easily and frequently panicky about the smallest things - turning to the forum won't reduce those worries though (trust me lol).

As for the OP...  No, it won't work, I usually answer this sort of thread so it can't have been up that long, patience is a virtue!  (One which most of us lack these days lol).

If you didn't get a response to your first thread then that is because nobody knows.  Writing a caps lock title won't get you any more advice.

I might know, but i don't reply to stroppy questions anymore . . .

Too funny

Ye I have noticed a few people saying "ye we might know but were not going to help you". :wallbash:

The reason I re-posted was because after the post has been up for a certain length of time it goes further and further down the list on the main page and there is more chance of it not being seen.  Time is of the essence also as the car is sitting currently taking up space at the local garage and if i can find out the answer I can then proceed with getting it running correctly and get it back off the Garage!

I really would appreciate some help on this after all its a forum where we all share an common interest and a place to share knowledge rather than turn around and say well I know but I am not going to share it!

I was kind of wanting it done for this weekend for the show at the NEC in Birmingham but that;s never going to happen.

many thanks to everyone who has replied in a helpfull way, from what I can gather, the inlet manifold should fit but the Carbs are different. Hope you all read this part and take that information in so if you ever get asked again you can reply.

I will second that....is anyone at Talk Ford organising any meets this spring...:)

I will second that....is anyone at sorry Ford Owners Club organising any spring meets...:):)

Yes the carb and manifold will fit but it will be underfuelled as the carb is jetted for the 1.4 not the 1.6.

You can get it re-jetted if you wish but maybe worth getting the twin 40's set up correctly first for the time being and then sourcing a 2nd hand carb and manifold for the 1.6?

You could then sell the 40's on as a working set and recoup your money for the standard carb.
