Ok, where did I say there was anything wrong with Audi [emoji6] I’ve had 2 and would have them back in a heartbeat. My ex wife (aka ‘the slag’) took my 3.2 Quattro TT and baseball bat wielding thieves just casually walked in to my office, while I was in it I might add and stole the keys (and then the car) to my 3.0 A4 ☹️ you can’t have anything nice anymore.

That is probably a pure white LED bulb, I think. Is that your headlight? If it is then you can use a whole array of different bulbs. There is often a limitation in the length but you shouldn’t have a problem. Whatever you get make sure it’s one that has several chips around the sides as well as on the end, the reflective housing is key with the side lamps.

I think these would be similar to what you are looking for....

Hahahaa, just checking! [emoji12] Nice nickname for the lady btw, but OMG she sounds like a piece of work!!

That's my sidelight - took it up close so you could see the blue-ish glow but based on what you're saying I'm guessing that's the reflective housing rather than the bulb itself... So best bet is to go for 6000K then I think.

Thanks for the link, but I've got a little basket going on Autobeam [emoji6] They have LEDs along the sides and one on the top as well so sounds perfect to me.

Have you got an account with Autobeam? Have you signed up with your email address? If you haven’t already done that then do it. Do it before you want to buy your stuff. Do this....
Log in, put the stuff you want in the basket, close the Autobeam Window without logging out and without buying.
Next day they will email reminding you that you have stuff in your basket, ignore that and don’t go back onto the site.
Day after that you will get another email giving you a discount code for the stuff on your basket. Probably about 10%.
It’s worked for me, and it worked for @zain611 so give it a go. To be honest I think there stuff is a little overpriced, especially for the cheaper bits. It’s the same Chinese made stuff with better packaging.

I found code SIGNUP10 to work on all the orders I've made. I tried putting another code in to see if they stack up but you can only put in one code for one order.

Those lights to me look to a light purple. I'm going for a white light to match my 6000k xenons.

Edit: my autobeam order just arrived and the halo lights / indicators will be fitted on my car whereas the festoon bulbs are for my uncle.

Look forward to seeing the halos! Do you think you could do a bit of a guide on fitting and wiring? Particularly the OEM wiring that you tap into.

Would consider doing that. Don't know though when as my dad has his friend's car in the garage with the gearbox out. Around the beginning of the Christmas holidays hopefully the car will be in the garage with the injectors sent off for reconditioning. From there will hopefully do: window regulator, smoked led side repeaters, clean / block egr and check oil feed pipe and most likely clean it to make sure the turbo isn't getting starved of oil.

PICTURE HEAVY POST!

Few minor changes happened today! I've been keeping the postman busy this week so decided to get out there this afternoon just before sunset [emoji4]

Autobeam stuff arrived, plus a few other bits:

Engine cover before:

After (although I've just realised I left out the oval around 'Ford' [emoji34] Will have to get back out there tomorrow!) :

Boot, no light:

We have light! [emoji362]:

New booty [emoji527] lol:

Took some pics once it had gotten darker to get a real idea of the difference. Much prefer the brighter LEDs and bluer look to the standard yellow ones. Feels much nicer to sit in too [emoji16] Tbh, I'm most impressed with the boot light after not having one for about 7 months. Apparently I bought my car without a bulb in there, but because I was checking the wrong side, I always thought I just didn't have one... FAIL! No more rummaging round in my boot in the pitch black [emoji122][emoji122]

Forget that last post ^^^ couldn't remove the quote box.

Definitely is an improvement. How was it fitting in the number plate lights in as when I changed them the prongs had to be really pushed apart to fit the bulbs in. The lights the previous owner installed where shorter but fit snug in.

Need to change my boot light as it's flickering. Might wire in 2 led strips on each side so the boot is evenly lit.

Next from autobeam may be their LED h11 fog lights. It gets foggy around winter and beginning of new year so would want to use them for a reason.

I love them. Kept getting in and out of my car yesterday to see the new look [emoji57] Yeah had the same issue as you... Actually almost broke one of the bulbs as I had to bend the ends up a little so that they fitted in and almost snapped one end off! My prongs didn't bend that far apart so had to bend the lights instead [emoji20] All worked out in the end anyway so hopefully if I just leave them as they are, they'll be fine!

Happy with the boot tbh but probably would eventually want a light on the other side too. Not sure why there's only one... If you end up doing it, let me know how it works out [emoji5]

It looks like one of these...

Thank you [emoji4]

I would give@jonro2009 full marks for the link he provided there, but unfortunately the listing I found was actually for £2.48 so I'll have to dock a few marks [emoji12]

But yeah, search Pentel Paint Marker Medium - they're sold by many retailers [emoji5]

Not encouraged to do anything on the car while it's so cold! [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] I have since finished off my engine cover though [emoji4]14d33098857c6c2f426c6569ce6fe0fa.jpg

Looks like it came from factory 👍. Still waiting for a good time to wire in those halos plus waiting for autobeam to release their updated premium LED fog lights. Just a bit worried that the halos don't restrict too much of the fog light from coming out

I'm blushing! [emoji12]

Can't you check reviews? It should be designed so that you can use both without them interfering with each other - would be a bit disappointing to find out they 'drown out' the fogs...

Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk

All reviews about the halos are about how good they are. No one really talked about the fogs. It's just that Im thinking of upgrading my fogs and because of that I have that thought if the halos might block most of the light it kind of might be a little bit of a waste of money. I don't really use my fogs but might use them more when I upgrade them or might use the sidelights more when the halos are wired to the sidelights

In my opinion (if you don’t mind me saying) is that I would leave the fogs and focus on the halos. 2 reasons for this, one is that they look pretty awesome and not all that common. The other reason is that using your fogs when the weather doesn’t dictate they are used is against the law, and all the little chavs run around with them on, especially parked up in maccies Car park lol. Seriously though, why upgrade to something that could potentially get you pulled over when there is a nicer looking mod available that won’t get you into bother. Oh, I thought of another reason. Anything other than Halogen or a bulb with a rating of 4000k are useless in fog and actually make it worse

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Lol forget I said about using the fogs more when I upgrade them 😂. Yeah I did see something about yellow light giving better visibility in foggy conditions. Autobeam have some switchback led bulbs which you can switch between a white light or yellow light. You just switch off and on the fogs to switch the colour. I think I'll still upgrade the fogs but won't drive around with them on when I shouldn't have. Still waiting to see when the garage is free. Most importantly is that I have to get the injectors sent off to get reconditioned. During that time they are sent off ill get other things done such as the halos, checking the oil feed, smoked side repeaters and possibly blocking the Egr valve. 👍

Those switchback fogs sound the dogs dangleberries! I often use my fogs on the crappy unamed roads up here which are often rarely used at the times I tend to be on them, they light up the sides of the roads where there are trenches and also show up wildlife that have suicidal ideation lol. I turn them off if there is someone coming or if I catch any one up though. I saw them the other day, possibly off the back of one of your comments on another thread! I kinda want some now lol

I'm assuming he's talking about the pics you've put up of when your halos arrived...

I hope you're able to get them sorted! Sounds like a really cool addition and I also can't wait to see them [emoji16]
