So what did the people who have seen episode one think about the first 5 minutes? Was it just me or did it bring a lump to anyone else's throat? Sent from my SM-G930F2 points

Deep impact blue is the best colour for the mk3. Defo get the rear glass tinted. With yours being a zetec s get a chrome tail pipe for the exhaust (unless you've already got it ). You've joined a very good forum with a lot of focus owners. Welcome on board.2 points

I do like taking Brandy for her extended weekend walk in quite a variety of weather, including a surprising five minute flurry of snow as we passed through Cowgrove! The only weather we didn't have was a gale, but if the Met Office are right, we can expect to walk in a gale, possibly a severe gale tomorrow On the outward journey, I gathered £28.06 in lost/abandoned change from the pavements outside the takeaways, which is the most I've ever found. Saturday and Sunday mornings usually yield over £20, but it's rather rare to find more than £25. That's the next 30kg Brandy's of chicken taken care of then When I ordered Brandy's Metacam from the vet yesterday, i happened to say to the nurse that is was quite awkward to measure a 16Kg dose (Brandy's weight) with the syringe provided, as the increments are in 2.5Kg doses and printed rather close together; I usually give Brandy the 15kg dose, as 17.5kg would be too much. When I went to collect it this afternoon, she'd left a note on it, saying she'd put an additional dosage syringe in the box, for 0-5Kg dose. So, I can do a 15kg dose with the normal syringe and the remaining 1Kg with the small one I wasn't expecting her to do that2 points

Hello all, I own a MK3 Focus, had it a bout a year and a half, not done much to it yet, put a full set of white Xenon HIDs in the front lights including the Fogs and tinted the rear brake light in the spoiler last week, further plans which I have parts for are, pressed plates, wind deflectors and tinted windows. Future plans are to get some different coloured interior lights and white bulbs for the lights under the wing mirrors and a remap at the end of the month.1 point

I have those same size tyres and I always stick to what it says in the book which is the same on the door sticker I might add, so 33psi front and 26psi rear. I've used them, like that for nearly 3 years now with zero issues.1 point

The electrical load on the alternator should not really affect the idle speed. These engines have the idle speed continuously regulated by the pcm (aka ECU). If anything, the idle may increase a bit under heavy load electrical, to ensure it can meet it. There may be a slight change when a load goes on or off, but it should very quickly recover. If the idle is varying, then I suspect a fault. In some Mk1 Foci, there is an idle control valve that can get a bit sticky. In all Mk2 Foci, the idle is controlled by the throttle body (petrol), or direct control of the injectors (diesel). If the battery was really dodgy, or there was a bad connection to it, perhaps the engine or body earth, then maybe that could upset the pcm and cause unsteady idle. The voltmeter (see pete above) would be a good test for this. If not that, then you ought to specify engine type, and Mk1 / Mk2 (2004 could be either, I believe).1 point

I'm a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator, been in the industry twelve years now. Also known as "Chemical Process Operator" Or "Scoop Monkey" I really enjoy it playing a part in prolonging and improving life and the place I'm in works three shifts so every third week is nights, second week is evenings so overall on an average month I only have to get up before 7am for 12days of the month; the rest of the month is either nights or evenings also pays 50% more than I can justify 😁1 point

I don't like being stuck behind a grit spreader for 2 miles! Aside from the fact I was limited to 20MPH on a main road, I will now have to start jet washing the underside of the cars on a weekly basis if they are going to spread that crap on the roads. I've said it before and I'll say it again - LET IT SNOW AND THEN PLOUGH! As for ice, grit does sweet FA to that anyway, so there is no point. All grit does is gives you a layer of slushy snow which is harder to drive on than compacted snow, which is actually easy if you have good tyres.1 point

I don't like the Met Office's forecast for here, for the rest of today and more so, for tomorrow Everything i was going to do this weekend is outside. it's started raining as we returned from the vets, it's forecast to continue non-stop, increase in intensity and will be joined by gales tonight. Which will become severe gales this time tomorrow. Whilst my lawns and vegetables will benefit from 13mm per hour, and all my butts replenished up to capacity: I can't proceed with anything on my "To do list"1 point

Autosessive.com are another one who seem to be having a permanent 30-50% off sale, despite their weekly emails claiming "buy now before it ends" and " a limited special one off weekend discount". I used to use them during my Volvo era, and unless you knew either the GSF part number or the Volvo one: you would invariably get supplied with wrong part1 point

Hey, absolutely love the car. It's strange how you have done all the mods I planned on doing, almost to a tee! And I only just discovered your thread. Didn't see anyone ask this as yet, but are those fog bezels also off eBay? If not too much hassle, please could you share a link as I have found some suspect ones and want to avoid buying some cheap plastic fake. I'm so jealous of the rear diffuser, I tried buying the exact same one, and a couple of others, but nobody will deliver to South Africa [emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hi, Thanks for the comments :) The fog bessels are the original chrome ones, I removes them sanded them down and resprayed them. I have seen the ones on eBay and you are correct, they are the cheap plastic version. I guess companies won't want to take the chance shipping the diffuser to internationally as it is very likely to get broke, but I would definitely keep trying pal, you never know :) Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk Yeah that's what I planned on doing, if I could get the bastrds out! Any tips?? Tried using the card, tried a this screwdriver...... As for the diffuser, I gave up trying. So I'm having the whole thing custom made, already made the mould. Twice the cost but I need that look man!! Did this to my front end .... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Fuel here has also gone down, was 1.20 at BP last week for diesel, so I used Sainsburys at 1.16 instead... Now BP is down to 1.13 but I don't need fuel for probably another fortnight...what's the betting it's gone up by then lol!1 point

As above, if I was you I would invest in driving lessons to prevent a repeat and then use the insurance savings to get the car you want in a few years of good behaviour...maybe not the advice you were after?1 point

I have never tried any of this Loctite stuff on an engine. The problem as I see it is: It might be heat resistant and it might be oil resistant but does it expand and contract with heating up and cooling down at the same rate as the metal it is stuck to. If not, then the difference in expansion and contraction will cause it to come away from the metal due to it stressing the join of the Loctite and the metal. I would be surprised if any of those type of products is going to work long term there as I think that is going to be a pretty hot area1 point

https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/feu/en/news/2016/11/16/ford-to-reveal-new-ford-fiesta-at-go-further-event-on-nov--29-in.html For those interested, these are the most recent spy shots I have come across: http://www.autoblog.com/2016/11/03/2018-ford-fiesta-spy-shots/ As much as I love my Focus, I'm going to be really tempted by a 5dr Mk8 Fiesta ST..... (Unless it uses the 1.5 EB of course, lol). Also from what I've read, maybe we should technically call it the Mk7.9, as it is said to be using an evolution of the same chassis, rather than being all-new.1 point

I used to drive miles and miles in my own car at 17, an old VW Beetle, inherited from my grandad. Stood me in good stead I think, as I passed 1st time. I still feel that you really learn to drive once you have passed your test. I know it's different now due to the amount of traffic on the road but there is no substitute for experience when it comes to driving in my opinion. i was stopped for speeding not long after passing my test and although I wasn't happy at the time, I think it probably did me a favour as it slowed me down a bit, stopped me trying to be a boy racer. Even in a Beetle!1 point

Thank you Joss :) And recently i have been sponsored by Boombaracing from USA :) Now i am waiting to receive from them the Throttle Body Spacer for my engine and also the "European safe" BOV adapter for MAF sensor vehicles. The BOV adapter is just a prototype now so they are not selling it. I will post some videos later.1 point
