Often the car is a LHD conversion, with the master cylinder on the passenger side and levers and bars to the pedal, if this is the case, it can be difficult to get a really positive pedal feel, as the bars/ levers twist and have some "give", On previous cars with poor brakes, i spent fortunes on braided hose (like Goodrige) different pads/ discs, and re-bled the system to no avail - often i found the stock (genuine) discs/ pads worked better than "performance" ones, The braided hose only improves things if there is a problem in this area - like the old hoses are done - mostly, its for cosmetics And the braking system is like any other system - its the weakest link that holds it back - if the limitation is the discs, no point in changing the master cylinder , often, its a question of finding what the weakest link is1 point

Definately seems a valid plate and definately appears to be an RS, I thought he might have just done a body tart and sell it on as one :p1 point

Boot is a different colour, I would assume it's taken from another car with the wrong plate? Sent from my GT-N7105 using Ford OC mobile app1 point

I rather quite like it in yellow, probably wouldn't buy one myself in that color though, but hoping to see some on the road in that color, not the boring re-sale silver. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Ford OC mobile app1 point

Sorry the late response, I just found this thread. I live in NY in the town right next to Goshen, actually am a retired cop from there. What a surprise I had when I saw the Wheeler Dealer episode and recognized the Goshen 355 car. I had no idea how one of their cars wound up in the UK. That police department actually only covers a 2 square mile area, (the county seat) technically it's a retired "Village" of Goshen PD car, as opposed to the "Town" of Goshen, which covers a much larger area surrounding the village. I wouldn't think the red lights would be a problem in the UK, don't they use blue light? I can understand having to cross out the police though. There are still tons of Crown Vics in police service. One thing you had wrong, that car wasn't assigned to one officer, that's not how they do things. The car is parked at the police station and used as needed, often being used 24 hours a day wouldn't be unusual. The new Ford police package isn't that popular, it's just too small, The Dodge is the same story. The Ford Explorer SUV seems to be becoming more popular though and the Chevy Tahoe too. Fuel mileage really has nothing to do with it. When it comes to police cars MPG is low on the list of thing they worry about. Good luck with your Goshen car! Oh, and to the guy that mentioned the luxury version of the Crown Vic? Here they are the Mercury Marquis, not Marauder.1 point

Yeah seems to be rivets (metal) part D, and some plastic ones, part C, and obviously adhesive. Think I'll run the manual via my garage guy and he can probably source the parts cheaply from eurocarparts1 point

I have no real say in MY CARS names 98 Fiesta Ghia -Tango- to this day i have no idea, GF named that one 54 Focus 1.8TDCI -Roary- Cause my little boy used to think it was a racing car, and there is a children TV program called Roary the Racing Car 11 C-Max -Casper- The car has a auto park function which my boy is convinced is done by a ghost, but not a nasty ghost, hence Casper the friendly Car1 point
