  2. Tuna and pasta go together so well, and with the addition of onion and extra virgin olive oil, you've get heaven on a plate However, I still fail to understand why you don't like cauliflower cheese though. it's even very pleasant cold the following day straight from the fridge, which a lot of foods aren't Really? Tuna's one of my favourite fishes Correct if I'm wrong, I thought Mr Bieber's music was aimed at those who are have outgrown care bears and Teletubbies: but have not yet embarked on puberty. I didn't know he had an adult following

  3. ....Matt, did you say you like Justin Bieber? .....I'd rather own a corsa and become a proper corsa driver than listen to him!

  5. Alternator was changed today by a local independent auto electrition who fully diagnosed the fault. All I had to pay was 49 quid diagnostics and the warranty cover the 370 alternator. Went back to my local ford and told me nothing was wrong in the first place, they said the garage who changed the alternator was wrong and that wasn't the fault. I made a right scene as they still don't accept anything was wrong with my car. anyway new alternator was fitted and the vibrations have gone and the car runs great.

  6. Note that 300 mm front disk brakes must be combined with 280 mm rear disk brakes. Combining 300 mm front disk brakes with 265 mm rear disk brakes or even rear drum brakes should be avoided. The bigger front disk brakes affects the brake balance of the car which can even make the car unstable during hard braking.

  9. I do like that Brandy managed not moult all over the interior of the Mk1 Focus this morning. It is less than 24 hours since it was washed, de-furred and vacuumed.. Well done Chris

  10. That's the beauty of individualism and freedom of choice. The bands of back then either the 70's or 80's would have made it anyway because that era WAS rock based. I'd say the radio 1 artists of today wouldn't of stood a cat in hells chance back then. Even the greats like Marvin Gaye had to restyle himself to carry on. I like what I like as does the next person. I don't or ever liked country tho. Geez that's bad.

  11. Congrats dude. Now straight to the test centre to pass your driving test, pass that & then boom. The world is your Oyster

  12. This usually only happens when a very worn diesel engine starts to burn it's own engine oil. I don't think your injector problem is related to that scenario in any way. One way to stop an engine that's running away is to discharge a CO2 or other inert gas fire extinguisher into the intake.

  13. i have no choice but to do engine. finance still outstanding.. cant afford to pay off that as well as buy sonething new. i wondered if a1.8 would go in too.. does anyone know how i check compatability? i think my engine is a G8DA.. but i can get my hands on a DV6C (out of a 2010 focus) very low mileage.. which according to wiki has been used in focus 1.6tdci since 2004- engine replacement advice anyone?

  14. The most likely place for the faulty solder joints is right on the connector, and un-plugging it will have fixed the bad connections, at least for a while. I suspect it will happen again at some time, but at least you know what to do now! Good news for the present Thanks for the feedback Peter.

  15. The Fuse box is identical to the middle of the three and the car Starts no problem Now. I cleaned the large earth from the battery negative connected to the body of the car as it had a bit of rust and there was paint between the earth and the body today. After cleaning the car started and run fine. Then it suddenly would not even identify the key. I have two. It would do nothing. Not even a message on the display. So I disconnected the battery for about ten minutes, re-connected and all worked fine but that is when the PATS code was displayed.

  16. thats k4, im just clever!! lol but seriously, if you want to learn, get a haynes manual for starters, wiring diagrams and other stuff usefull in them.
    1 point
  17. k4 is the fuel pump relay, in your photo is the bottom left relay, the fuse that feeds that relay is fuse 30 and fuse 31, you can see the fuse numbers on the fusebox

  21. You know what I mean... I'd give that Tyre Weld a go, it would probably work fine as your tyres will be quite low profile despite having larger rims. Just make sure you let almost all the air out of the tyre first, add the can, drive the required distance to seal it (touch wood) and then top up more if necessary. It worked 100% on slow punctures to both our Focus and Primera.

  22. I thought I was the only person crazy enough to do that xD

  23. I use this stuff in my mountain bike, only because it's got tubeless tyres on it lol Otherwise, I'm with Ian on this. I would much rather have a spare wheel! The only time I've actually had a puncture while driving was a dented rim - no amount of tyre sealant was gonna fix that lol

  24. yes it will fit , but it looks fairly grotty though lol.

  25. These products should be banned!! Esp when your the one who has to remove the tyre with all that !Removed! in there. Lol

  26. With the focus theres a bit of extra wiring imbetween display and audio unit, not sure on the fiesta whats required, not seen anyone on here doing it yet. Your going to be the first . Lucky you. Lol

  28. The 5 speed is just fine. On 125 PS version you get plenty of torque for accelerating and the gears are resonable long. You can cruise in 5th at 100 km/h just above 2k rpm. Fine for me. On 150 km/h it's just above 3k rpm. Its only a bit stupid around town, you have to switch a lot between 2nd and 3rd. (nothing to serious, you get used to :) )

  29. There is not a 6 speed variant of the 1.0l fiesta........ Fiesta's only come in 5speed only get 6speeds on the 1.0l focus bud

  30. Dealer will tell you not to do it. They also won't update it for you, unless it is to fix a problem.

  31. Took the day off work to try get this figured out, gotta get it running by the 13th july and through MOT. Detached the fuel tank to access the pump cable. *******Checked the cable at the correct prongs and there is no power being sent to the pump. only to the fuel sender. I also checked the inertia switch and that is fine. I also spliced the inertia switch cables as it goes to the pump and again, no power. I need to locate the relays I'm assuming but can't find any decent diagrams. I bought a pump from the breakers which is probably not the issue now. I assume its a relay or fuse but i cannot find any diagrams for my car model. 2001 Fiesta 1.3 Flight - HK51 JGZ

  34. Peter, Thanks for response. The engine is petrol and the car is going in for a check tomorrow. After the incident I continue to drive ( had no choice) without incident, but wary of issue. I have heard this problem occurring, but rarely, on London taxis. I remember the Imp well, but never owned one. Rijost

  35. No, not sure why it would be on but I'll try to have a look. I'm having real trouble finding any pictures or diagrams for this car, not sure if its mk4 or mk5 (2001). Heres another video i just did incase it helps. Dont know why my phones mic is so quiet. 37. I felt great when I did my class 2 and passed it and loved driving rigid's, but driving a big boys toy is so much more. Go for it pal, anyone who says anyone can't do it sod em, if you want to do it you will do it. I have always driven large vans and 7.5 tonner's after passing my car test, then took my class 2 (Cat C now) back in 2003, I only wish I had done my C+E (no longer class 1 anymore either lol) a long time ago.

  41. It could be a blocked fuel filter especially if like you said the fuel tank has been run low it could be pulling all sorts of muck from the bottom of the tank?

  45. Checking a battery with just a multimeter doesn't prove its got the oomph to start a car but if it is turning over then it likely has. Have you checked it's getting fuel and got spark?

  46. The difference was in fact 3.8% not 1.9% . . . . & that 3.8% represents circa 1.3 MILLION more people in favour of leaving than remaining. That figure is firm enough to be overwhelmingly democratic. The worst stat' by far is that 28% of the 46.5 million entitled to vote, couldn't be bothered to vote & evidently don't care who governs them & whose laws they are subject to.

  47. That's hilarious mmm...Let's see now, petitions I could start The summer of 2009 was far too wet: I'll petition the HM Government for a rerun of July 2009 through to October 2009, but this time with 50% less rain, and the rain can only fall in the evenings after 9pm and must finish before Brandy takes her morning stroll. With the proviso, blight is forbidden from entering Dorset I didn't see Haleys comet go by in 1986, for it was cloudy : I'll petition HM Government to send it round again, but on a clear night. As child, my then favourite 18 inked multi-coloured pen fell out of my jacket pocket into the English Channel whilst crossing from Portsmouth to Le Havre.. I was quite upset at this: I'll petition HM Government to drain the English Channel and get the British Consul to recover it

  48. didnt get anyone replying to this - strange, but thought id share my experience after i decided to change the oil and filter, once i took of the engine cover i noticed the air escaping from the injectors (as said above) this is the place, for those who dont know, as i didnt.... you'd expect to see spark plugs on a petrol engine. (at leasst thats where they have been on the other cars ive had!!) they are like 4 valve looking things all connected by a copper-like pipe. anyway I was right. the seal on number 4 had gone. managed to kick off with the company i got it from and got that, plus number 3 seal replaced for free. no more noise. happy as a pig in s*** , as they say

  49. An alternative is to buy a 1.5 mtr 3.5mm jack plug to 3.5mm jack plug extension lead and carefully route it from the glove box aux socket to the centre console, you can route it coming out under the glove box and under various bits of trim, no leads showing, works a treat.
