  1. I paid off all of my debts yesterday, and to my own surprise; I do feel happier today than i have been for many years, this morning I happily got out of bed and went in to work singing, I'm feeling very positive moving forward as my income is now my own after the mortgage & day to day living expenses have been paid. I hadn't realised the draw back the debt has on me, I was happy before but not this content with feeling happy. I could have done this three years ago or anytime along up to now but the bank's weren't ever pleasant and I was always busy chasing somthing for the car or elsewhere but yesterday I decided id had enough and paid up a few debt accounts in full prior to closing them completely, only remorse I feel now is that I have a sence of loneliness because they won't write to me anymore; and I've lost all my enemies now because there not harassing me it's all blue sky's ahead.

  5. My comment was a joke, as there is no way a ST150 is that quick. Even a chavved up example of one with a pillock behind the wheel. Look at the lean in the Fiesta at the very beginning of the video. The driver is absolutely hammering it round that bend. My bet is it's because he's overtaking a car with a bonnet scoop (Subaru Impreza perhaps?) and wants to tell his mates with bum fluff on their faces that he took a Subaru. Or he is showing off because he's incredibly juvenile or has a small *****. Or he was trying to get in front of the camera car before the road appears to be merging into a single lane. In any case, he lost it through his own incompetence and stupidity.

  6. I've amassed a few "don't likes" today. First there was the dishwasher, which partially flooded the kitchen, only 10 minutes into it's washing cycle! It was waterfalling out of the bottom of the door in a 600mm wide flow! like one of those architectural features! Upon opening the door, the lower arm was actually submerged. Something was impeding the pump, or less likely the drainage pump had failed itself Bailing out a flooded dishwasher with soup ladle takes a lot longer than you would otherwise think! It wasn't the pump, it was the shared drainage with the sinks, which to say they were blocked somewhat was an understatement! Pipes have a diameter of 40mm had been reduced to a narrow passage 1-2mm. Just as I'd removed with aid of butter knife and a few marmalade/jam spoons cable tied to several screwdrivers of varying length: 6 bags of soap scum: I remembered last year I bought an attachment for my pressure washer for clearing blocked pipes and drains Still with my drains, then there was the fiasco, of trying to find the the foul water inspection manhole. The only two obvious ones were in the paver drive, the tray type with plastic handles. What sort of idiot thought plastic handles were a good design choice, at the inspection hole cover manufacturer? If they haven't been lifted since they were installed (12 years), a combination of corrosion and grit locks the whole thing in place, and you can't apple any king of leverage to plastic handles The gap between the tray and it's seat was too narrow to get any any kind pry bar in. So that was more faffing about with various blades to loosen the grit in the tiny slit and a compressed air duster to blow it away. It turned out, once I'd got the lower cover off, it wasn't a foul water one after all: but surface water one I eventually found the foul water one, after an extensive search under the shrubbery; concealed in the very depths of Prunus hedge! And then when I went to collect Pipper from the Rescue's in-house clinic, their vets were unable to do her spay today, because she's having a phantom pregnancy and is full of milk for her non-existent puppies.

  7. I did that when I left the military. Pre-owned furniture got me started and then replaced with new as & when affordable. My pre-owned stuff then went on to be passed to the next generation of family as necessary to allow them to strike out on their own. It doesn't matter if the stuff is old-fashioned as long as it's clean and servicable. New stuff will follow in due course. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  8. It really should be over £400 but the landlord is retired and more interested in getting a good tenant than a high rent, which I'm not complaining about!!

  10. I've warned people before.. CEUK bulbs are cheap Chinese rubbish, bought in bulk with no QC and a bag of haribos in the box. People think they're brilliant because "they have good customer service" and send out replacements. They wouldn't need a huge customer service team if their bulbs actually worked and didn't need constant replacements Passenger glove box, squeeze the sides and pull down. They're extremely easy to remove withouf nails.. If you're struggling you can buy tools to do it which cost pennies

  23. £/$/€ won't help. It's not as bad as it could be, considering they will be costed in Euros. Plus when you look at the spec, they are more like shrunk Foci. (Hence my next car :D)

  27. Good question. I found the User Manual very vague on the operation of the CC on my Mk3 and eventually had to work it out by trial and error. It's quite simple once you understand it.

  28. Shame cos the 210 engine is sweet. Had the same block in my Edge but with more weight to pull. I'm finding I'm able to overtake with ease, and sport mode is even better. Why is it expensive to have a bigger engine there? Here's some pics, not very good as I didn't want to include the reg number.

  29. sounds like your heater matrix pipes are leaking, been a few on here with the same issue. the place to look for leak is the 2 coolant pipes that come through bulkhead near clutch pedal area. the is a joint with "O"ring seals that can leak. unfortunatly it seams you cant get the seals a d ford now only supply the heater matrix without the joints. therefore dash out and heater box strip. one member on here has cut the leaking pipe joint out and rejoined with rubber hose and clips. how sucessfull that was i dont know.

  30. I do like that my dishwasher is functioning normally again I've removed all the soapy scum crud, for the entire length of my foul water drainage, all the way to the street. Although I'd forgotten I'd bought it, for the first few pipes: I do like how quickly the Nilfisk pipe and drain attachment works. it not as messy as you'd think it would be either I also like Pipper's own vet was able to fit her in this evening, even though we turned up without an appointment. She's been prescribed something called Galastop, which will bring about an end to her phantom pregnancy. It's apparently quite common in dogs, mice and elephants; but all mammals can, and do have them, including us. She'll then have to wait a month after it has ended before she can finally have her spay.

  37. One new pump later and my aircon is icy. Looks like the compressor had been seized for some time - the car came from Scotland so it's possible the aircon wasn't used much, hence the lack of gas (may have very slowly seeped out). Slightly annoyed the garage I bought it from hadn't checked the aircon before I picked it up, though I forgot to check it myself. I now have the old pump to display on the wall! Thanks all for the advice, I now know more about air conditioning than I ever dreamed I would.

  41. If I hear Galway Girl once more, not even a oiled up stunning Irish Lady will make me smile The new Gorillaz album is quite good. The Saturnz Barnz video is good and the 360 YouTube version is also fun to watch. Gorillaz are playing down in Margate soon and I will be on duty to support the highway side of things.

  43. I know what you mean, I started off my spirits drinking career with dark rum and blackcurrant, progressed onto whisky and lemonade and then onto vodka and lemonade. Recently I've changed the lemonade for tonic and even drink 'neat' tonic as a refreshing drink! And I've started appreciating gin as well, a few years ago even the smell offended me! Lemonade is just too sweet for me now.
