  2. Ha! Easy? Only if I put it all back together methodically. So many times I've 'finished' a job only to realise I've left something out/threaded the pipe wrong etc. Start again. Thus I've learnt to down tools when the concentration lacks. I have removed the sensor. One bolt, makes access so much easier. If this all works out it will be down to teamwork. You and Peter between you have helped immensely.

  3. i would ask the dealer you bought it off what they are going to do about it, its them that need to cough up for repairs or hand them the car back and have a refund.

  8. The 1st thing I'm gonna check is cambelt, as my knowledge of mechanics is pretty good(not done major work in 30yrs) I used to work for Honda in mid 80's, but a back problem meant bending over the engine bay killed me, so had to give it up. Having owned a lot of cars between the ages of 13 and now , mk1 cortina ,mk1 mini,mk2 escort,mk5 cortina, 3 x mk2 Granada, mk3 capri 2.8 injection special,2x maestro, mk2 cavalier 2.0 glsi, mk3 cavalier sri130, VECTRA ......that's all. But modern cars now I don't work on, not to mention not having anywhere to work on one.... but I can ,thankfully, spot a wrongun, and that's why I came here. People like yourself can give me pointers to which at modern cars will help me further, things like you already mentioned(dpf) and so on, if it takes me a couple of months to find one then so be it. Thanks for your reply's and help.

  10. Thanks! I am aware of WickedArts, always seen there products in keyrings, mugs etc... Mine were just an alternative something a little different, more sketcthy art as apposed to drawn clean. But if you fancy something, give me a shout! 👍

  11. @Nick Y choosing from the option you have given, I’m going to choose all 3! If you haven’t already spoken to citizens advice or a union about getting sacked for having flu then it may be worth it, there are a lot of employment laws now that will support and employee. Even if it’s to check the company followed policy by laying you off, of course if you have been in your job less than 2 years that can make things different. id imagine the doctors are looking into your DVT but there are all sorts of reasons for it to happen so it might take a while to get it figured out unfortunately. Insurance wise, you are going to lose out unfortunately, they will only give you what you’re car is worth as per ‘market value’, not what it will cost to replace it like for like. The only advice I can offer is to take photos of the interior/exterior where it is undamaged, take pictures of the tread left on the tyres if they are pretty new and never ever take the Insurance companies first offer to settle your claim. It will always be too low and you can normally squeeze another couple of hundred out of them, that’s where the pictures come in. You need to prove your car was well looked after and worth top end of the book price. Also look around on auto trader and local dealers for a similar car for sale and use that price as a bargaining tool too.

  14. That looks really good. There's a company called wicked arts who make similar pictures like that. I bought a keyring from them which has a cartoon picture of my previous car with a leather backing. Planning in the future to get that again but with a cartoon picture of my fiesta. Might look into your also now

  16. Yeah it's most likely screenwash. The washer jets on the bonnet leak and drip into there.
