  5. 👍 Electrics for me were the easy bit, it took me 30mins to get the ***** handle off the tailgate to drill the camera hole lol. I was ready for giving up!

  6. Of course I believe you mate. Just a bit of banter.🙂 Good job on the camera too, I'd probably set my car electrics on fire trying that. I reckon I could get the rear trim panel off ok though!😉

  7. Wow, that’s even my registration too!! Give me a break, I’ve nothing to gain by dreaming up a car lol. Do you really not believe me [emoji2369] sarcasm can be lost in text Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  9. Not running out on the way to fuel station! Also, the guy on the till was confirming everyone's pump number by saying the make and colour of the car... Trouble is there were 3 black VWs on the forcourt at the time.

  10. A reversing camera is great when parking in a tight space. Fitted one on my fiesta and just today it helped me park in a tight space. Was parking on a narrow road so had to be careful how far the front was swinging out. Sometimes I think of having parking sensors as it gives you a audible que rather than moving you eyes to something else like the camera screen.

  13. I don't normally post here but I am feeling very very smug today and I have to share my reason. Today I fitted a reverse camera to my mk3.5 st line Focus. It does not have rear sensors so there was no PAM or wiring pugs laid ready. I had to get a 54 pin APIM harness that had all the wires present and also an RCA socket, Amazon smiled on me there. I enabled the cam via Forscan and the harness came today. I've fitted it and tested it and it works! The hardest part was getting the boot release and number plate lights part off the car. Anyways, it works perfectly now. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  15. I checked back today after a week of not going on the site at all, entered my VIN and boom! the file has been recognised. I didn't upload again today, the last time I uploaded it was last week. If you have uploaded the file and you got the screen saying it had been uploaded then just keep checking back.

  18. Agreed with Stoney there, I've had one of the rubber protectors break on the rear, but was replaced under warranty, and also if they break out of it, its only £15 for a new one. Also, wax the car when you clean it, and it doesn't scratch if it gets dirty. Ive done a year of opening doors on 25000 miles of dirt at various thicknesses with mine so far, and the door edges are still good lol

  19. I've had it on two consecutive Focus with absolutely no dramas. An occasional squirt of the mechanism with 3 in 1 oil works wonders. Sent from my SM-G965F (S9+)

  20. if the incorrect spark plug grade was causing it I could see the possibility of the plug tips being so hot that the ignite the compressed fuel/air without a spark but that would cause a very rough running on, not normal smooth running. I am also thinking maybe faulty ignition switch. but also possibly a sticking relay.

  31. Difficult to say really, obviously keeping the coolant circulating is good. But idling a hot engine while stationary is just going to increase under bonnet temps overall so it seems a bit counter productive.

  32. Ebay China special! I tend to stay away from out of the UK sellers, it's a bit of a gamble sometimes if the item will even turn up. There are some aftermarket UK based sellers on there too though. Its another option for the OP but I would rather pay £3.74 for a genuine Ford part.🙂

  33. Haha, I had a similar issue a few weeks ago, had just put the washing machine on and was sat on the toilet when I heard a lot of metallic scraping and clanking outside... Finished as quick as I could and flushed, then looked out the window to see someone trying to clear a blockage in our sewage drain! 😮 Fortunately that particular drain takes waste from several flats so they didn't know who it was! In my defence, no one had told us beforehand lol. Thanks Zain, I did have a nice day afterall. Weather was good so had a nice walk around a localish nature reserve and riverside. And then had a really good hard drive through the backroads on the way home after having to leave the dual carriageway due to heavy traffic, rarely ever go for a nice backroad drive nowadays! Because of the detour and getting caught in up in a nice drive I forgot to get any diesel though...better do that today as there's only 5 miles left on the range now! I must admit, I forget how big the differences are between different cultures, can imagine it makes it very difficult to keep yourself happy as well as not upsetting your family etc. It sounds like your Mum is very accepting of the potential change though so that's good, I know some wouldn't be. I am always a bit surprised when you say your Mum or Dad wouldn't let you do something or go somewhere despite now being an adult yourself. I never really had to think about it, I grew up in a small rural village with literally 99.9% white British people so didn't have the option for anything else lol! Obviously that's far from ideal though, it was only when I got older that I realised just how prejudiced some of my older relatives are, but they've never known any different and are too old to change now. I'd like to think the majority of our generation is a lot more accepting and integrated now though. I don't think your insecurity is going to go away unless you do start meeting new people. Not necessarily for a long term relationship or anything, just to help with the confidence a bit. I don't have any confidence either so I do appreciate how stressful it is lol. I'm really hoping to try and meet a few more like-minded people this year, not for a relationship but just for some real life social interaction... Trouble is, I don't know where to go to do that either lol.

  34. Clicking will either be the bearing in the fan or the HDD there the only 2 moving parts really in the laptop .. in regards to you coping it all depends on the location of where from and where too whether the file/folder name match up.. To make sure you back up most thing of your laptop id just suggest to back to c:/user/ (username). Might take a while but at least everything in your account is backed up. 36. You will need map update, I was running that until I updated to F7... i'm now F8. EU 4 15 is the last quarter of 2015... so very out of date mapping. as said above it may take a week or so for ford's system to sort itself out. I Myself used a friends VIN number who was already successful in the system update, as I had done the sync update already, I then updated maps straight after.

  37. @TomsFocus @iantt happy birthday to you both 🎉 🎊. Lol I don't think I've ever been in a club. My parents I don't think would allow that plus I don't like seeing how you got blokes standing outside with their drinks probably drunk. I think I'm still young to be looking for someone plus personally I think it's best I plan on future investments when I start working like saving for a property then saving for a nice car for myself. The type of girls I like are mainly the decent ones but mostly those types were also brought up to not have boyfriends. Even the girl I liked I once was coming home on the bus with her from college and she said I don't want my family seeing me with a boy. I'd say when we're older, working full time would be when these types of girls might try looking for someone. My mum actually found out about the girl I liked and thankfully she said in no anger that you know her culture isn't the same as us and that if I did ever get married to her and had kids she would move them closer to her culture or teaching them her language. Personally after starting uni and not seeing her I felt a bit more happy with my life. Problem with me is I get insecure and just went through stress or depression. That's kind of why I wonder if I want to get married later in my life.

  41. Success!! I tried using the radio/clock to change the year as opposed to the scroll thingy on the indicator stalk and was able to scroll straight through to 2019 without having to do any of the other stuff! How odd! So all sorted! Thanks to everyone for the comments and advice. Its very much appreciated.

  44. Most seem to say that standard 7J 17s will fit straight on with no mods. required, and tyres don't touch arch or liners. 17s were a factory option (on Titanium X at least). However, these optional alloys when ordered from Ford for aftermarket fitment, apparently require the fitment of steering rack limiters. Not found out yet if steering rack is different on a vehicle specced with 17s for factory fitment, or whether it's just plastic inserts on a standard rack, as it is for aftermarket fitment.

  45. There are some really good spring compressors on the market that are much safer than the one I used but are expensive. If I was doing the job again I would be looking for a more robust tool.I had a heavy duty chain in my garage and wrapped it around the compressed spring.I also wore safety specs and gloves. The more times you do it the better you become at it👍

  46. Merged and moved. FYI this is old news, dug up by the media again because Brexit's gone quiet maybe? If you are concerned, either have a dealer turn off keyless entry or keep your keys in a metal tin/farday pouch.
