Ford Escort 1998 Mk6 Stereo Wiring Loom

Featured Replies

OK PEOPLE. AFTER A FEW DAYS OF DICKING AROUND AFTER HAVING CUT MY FORD CONECTOR BLOCKS OFF OF MY STEREO WIRING LOOM, IVE USED A VOLT - METER TO FIGURE OUT EACH INDIVIDUAL COLOR SO NOBODY ELSE HAS THE PROBLEM I HAD WHEN IT CAME TO WIRING A NON FORD HEAD UNIT UP. OK HERE GOES ON MY ESCORT I HAD TWO LOOMS (SPEAKERS, AND POWER / EARTH) YOU'LL HAVE 3 BLACK AND ORANGE WIRES (ONE THICK AND THE REST THIN), TWO BLACK AND GREEN (ONE THICKER THAN THE OTHER) AND A YELLOW AND GREEN. THE TWO BLACK / GREEN ARE EARTH CABLES, SO WIRE THEM UP FIRST! THE THICKEST ORANGE/BLACK CABLE IS YOUR CONSTANT (LIVE / MEMORY) AND FINALLY YOUR YELLOW/GREEN CABLE IS YOUR SWITCHED POWER SOURCE (IGNITION!)
