Heater Box

Can anyone tell me where the heater box is located on the Mk2 diesel. 1997 P reg.

I have been told it might be behind the glove box, is this correct. I cannot get hot air to come out of the blowers, I have topped up the coolant with the heater on full hot and the resevoir bottle lid off and on the fastewst blower setting but it has made no difference. I took the dash control module out and the splines were knackered on the rear of the temp knob, so I set it to hot by hand as the winter is coming, but the cable was very hard to push in by hand, so I need to get to the other end on the cable and turn that to hot by hand, hense the question, where is the heater box?

Cheers Guys

The hot/ cold lever on the side of the heater box (up in the drivers footwell, left hand side) siezes after being set to cold all summer.

So its in the right hand side (drivers) foot well and on the left of the heater box above the pedals somewhere, am I right?

Thanks very much for your help, I'll let ya know how I get on Cheers
