Steven33
hey guys, oem scuff plates turned up today (woo!) and was looking for advice before fitting them. instructions say to remove any grease on the sills with ipa before fitting. Obviously this will remove the wax too. I was wondering if they would stick fine with the layers of wax on there? Would the paint be ok with no wax on there? DanGull
Definitely take it off to help the adhesive stick as much as possible. Then simply relax over the top.

Stoney871
I used sterile alcohol wipes to clean my sills and the plates stuck rock solid.
Andy H Dibley
Which plates did you get and where from? I'm looking for a nice 5 door set that either has the ford logo or Focus written on them.
Stoney871
Look for ones from Richbrook, they tend to be top quality.
Steven33
hi guys, yeah the lockwood ones seem to be really popular. I got the oem ford ones at a bargain price on eBay. thanks for your fitting suggestions, wiped down the sill with neat ipa before hand. will post pics once i've worked out how to do it!
