Ka Wheel Bolts

Hi everyone,

wondering you can help me out. The wheel bolts on my KA (Mk2) have started to rust (unsure why) and i'm looking to get a set of wheel bolt covers or just a whole new set of bolts for the car. Does anyone know what size i should be looking at and where i can get some? I have measured the diameter of the bolts (17mm) but cant seeme to find any covers that fit.

Thanks

just goto a auto accessories shop &

they will have a some sort of book or list of what ones you need

usually in a book for find make model yr if alloys or not then there will be a item number

n that's it.

it's a not a cheap way to do it though.

i would wire them off & spray them over myself.

are they on alloys or steel ???

Unfortunately the only shop i have near me is Halfords and im reluctant to go there because i know how useless they are. I have been looking online and have found a few sets on wheel bolts at good prices but i'm unsure what size to get.

They're on alloys, spraying them could be an option, any advice as i'm clueless :blink:

thanks

would probably be easier to buy a new set, I doubt they're very expensive.

would be cool to see a picture, ive not heard of this happening before

Exact same thing has happened 2 mine, likewise I think its the alloy wheel cleaner I've been using, or rather me not using it properly and not drying them properly. I'm pretty sure with a bit of effort and the right chemicals the rust could b removed though.

No not yet, its something I keep meaning 2 do like actually cleaning the thing, but impossible 2 keep it clean in this crappy weather! Lol :)

im not sure what size they are, id probably just take one off and measure it, shouldent be that difficult with the right tool (which you need to replace them anyway) :P

Nah i've not attempted to change the stereo, i read your post about the stereo, have u looked at some of the posts on the fiesta forum, there's a few about changing stereos and the different connections that might b usful, im assuming the workings cant b that much different between the fiesta and ka ??
