Squips
Hi everyone... My 1.4 TDCI Fiesta keeps showing up as overheating, it flashes up then drops back down to normal.. it's intermittent and the garage has taken a look and can't see anything wrong. Fault DTC code shows E199 (?)? I've been reading up and it maybe the coolant temperature is faulty. Can anyone tell me where this is in the engine bay? Is it this one? Or the sensor underneath the exhaust manifold? Anyone has a workshop manual I can 'borrow'? Many Thanks..
mintalkin
Code E199 is 'Erratic Temparature readings' if i remember the sensor is on the thermostat housing under the manifold, the connector plug to the sensor has been known to give trouble so try disconnecting the plug from the sensor, cleaning and then refit and see if the fault persists. Squips
Is this directly underneath the manifold or left or right? I see there's a sensor to the left (as you stand in front of the car) underneath the dipstick, is this the correct sensor? Cheers!
