Power Drain

Hi.

After slipping my car into 2nd gear and applying power, my Focus lost power and actually stalled. This happened twice this morning and the car was a bit sluggish from cold when coming home from work. It was very cold this morning.

Looking for some ideas as to why.

Cheers

Neil

Have you filled up recently from a different garage than normal , could be dirty fuel , or if its very cold again let it tick over a bit longer to get a bit of temperature in the engine,

Could it be a problem with the turbo?

Sounds like you're not pushing past the turbo lag at the transition of the power band.
