iNath
How to remove the door cards & check for powerfold mirror compatibility :)
GJC
Hi Nathans guide is very good but it may help if people know where the clips are. The green circles are "plastic" clips, and the red squares are the metal spring clips, knowing the location may remove some uncertantly where to leverage. And as a helpful hint check the door opening cables is still correctly attatched BEFORE you pop it all back together otherwise you get at least two tries to remove the door card... GJC
Another update after meeing Nathan. My Econetic has two plastic splitting screw / bolt type fastners as well as poppers on each door, located on the lower corner furthest away from the hinge. Nathan 's Zetec didn't have them (and in fact had slimmer door cards) but they too need removing, and when you put them back they don't tighten up muich either. GJC
Hello. Do you kown how many Pins (cable) must the powerfolding mirrors have. And thanks for the Video. Not trying to steal Nathans thunder but He and I did this last weekend. Eight, Chances are the door connector behind the card has them but you also need to check the bit by the hinge, Lez posted a photos before - http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/14688-speaker-size-and-folding-mirrors-on-mk7-zs/page__view__findpost__p__172880 and that the relays are in place. He had a 2009 1.4 TDCI model, Nathan and I have 2010 1.6 TDCI models (although different spec's) and they woeked once the computer was updated and the parts fitted
