Brigante
:( A warning to all! :( Tell me about it mate, picked the glue remover up in wilkinson for a few quid, worked a treat on the back of the car. Left it on the sides while I was doing the back, went to do the sides and it had phyiscally burnt the outline into it :o Now both sides need replacing
Andy H Dibley
When you say the back of the car, do you mean on the metal painted area of the tailgate? Superglue remover will be a strong thinners type deal, I use a similar type of substance at work. When using it once I found a plastic cup/tub to fill and use it with. In the space of five minutes it had desolved the bottom away and run all across my work desk. Plastics will get melted away/desolved. It's a harsh lesson to learn but you really have to be careful what substances you use with what materials. Couldve been worse and stripped the paint off the metal parts! :( Good luck with finding some replacement sail panels. If you still want to debadge it, they'll be easier to do off the car before fitting.
Brigante
When you say the back of the car, do you mean on the metal painted area of the tailgate? Yes mate I used the same stuff on the paint work, and it actually worked really well. I did a tiny test patch on part of the S of the focus and it worked a treat, was careful not to leave it on too long but I left it on the door trims while doing the rear. Can imagine the look of horror on my face when I saw what it did to my poor car :o Update on the situation though.. Just purchased these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160864184977?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
