Heater Control Wire Loose

Hi there,

Im a newbie on here but was just wondering if anyone could help me out a little.

Yesterday I went to turn the heater control from cold to hot and it felt very stiff, I wiggled it about a bit and then it became very loose and only cold air coming out no matter what position the control is in.

So I did a bit of investigating and took the stereo and glove box out and found the wire on the back of the control is loose but still attached, I was trying to trace the wire back to the matrix but couldn't see where it actually went to without having to rip the dash out, which Im not keen on doing.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what has gone wrong here?

Many thanks

Gav.

No replies :( Guess Ill have to take a trip to the local stealer.

I think the cable must have snagged somehow as it seems to have a kink in it.

I'd say it sounds like the cable has caught or twisted and snapped.

The cable i believe goes to the heater matrix, a garage job i reckon.
