badeye
Hi Guys, I have a 2001 MK1 Ford Focus and when i drive over speed bumps it sounds like my exhaust is banging about. Any idea's what i should check? I was thinking it could be the rubbers that need replacing, what signs should i be looking for in worn rubbers? Does anyone know where i can get a complete set of rubbers from? Cheers, Si
stef123
A loose or rattling exhaust is easy to find. Position yourself so you can see under the car and shake the exhaust at the same time. It could be a loose heat shield
georgen
check all rubbers, front and rear ones re more suspect to go, rubbers from your local exhaust fitting centre or fleabay, grab pipe at back and give it a shake to see where its banging, also look under car in case its sitting lower than it should incase speed hump is pushing it up.
