lewthy Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 hi just bought my mrs a 03 fusion and the heater blower was noy working i changed the fuse in the box a back of the glove box when the new fuse went in blower worked but the fuse started smoking and around the fuse has melted has any one any advice please on how to sort the problem Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TCSC47 Posted October 18, 2015 Share Posted October 18, 2015 This problem is a bit of a long time ago, but for anybody else with a similar fault. If you have replaced the correct size fuse, it could be that fan heater is running rough and taking too much current. When thee motor runs does it sound laboured and with noisy bearings? My fan motor is clearly running with friction in the bearings and I measured the current to be more than 30A which certainly seems like a lot.
